Genuinely spat out my tea

It's regarding the supposed behaviour clauses they want in his contract..

Bloody heck, we are going to make Mario jump through hoops before he is allowed to join.

I should hope so too. We're not City or Chelsea, we're a proper football club with standards that need to be met.

Seriously..this is the club who's supporters backed a racist biting thug to the absolute hilt

Words fail me

Not to mention Stevie GBH and Andy "breaks women's jaws" Carroll. Raheem Sterling got charged for beating his Missus as well, didn't he? Shining examples to Society. Hopefully any behavioural clauses require him to conduct himself in the same manner as his team mates, he can do whatever the fuck he likes then.

Mario is fun off the pitch and all, but simply not managable. I don't think he will ever realize his full potential. And is the biggest reason for Italy's flop in this last World Cup imo.

I agree with Ruud Gullit:

I think Liverpool is making a big mistake.

Re: Liverpool Thread 2014/15

With Mario, Brenda is now going to try and succeed in getting the consistent best out of him where no one else has been able to, not even his 'father' Mancini or one of the best coaches in the game, Mourinho.

Smacks of ego and wanting to prove himself as a manager, and although the lad will score goals for them (he will score goals for everyone), it is going to be really interesting to see how Rodgers handles the stupidity that comes all wrapped up in the Mario package....this supposed good behaviour clause stuff written into his contract is only going to make him act up even more IMO.

Hard to see it not ending in tears. Hard to see any transfer the lad makes not ending in tears.

Re: Liverpool Thread 2014/15

Balotelli is a low risk signing. Better than etoo, Rodriguez or bony.

Probably tedious to deal with as a coach but for fans he is hilarious and damn entertaining. He's a harmless immature guy--not a psycho or a dick.

Let's see if Rodgers works with him, with Origi coming next year we can losing him won't be a catastrophe. He'll leave in 18 months or so, can't imagine Liverpool is his scene.

On Rodgers: I wish he would engage in less navel gazing about the club and stop with the detailed tactic talks (why do other teams scouting fir them?). However, he is clearly a modern, progressive manager--and yes he is also on a learning curve. He also gets the club if his reception by our fans is anything to go by--and I get that for you its bad and hilarious that he has a bond wit the fabbs

On our signings: I don't get the Spurs talk. With or without Suarez we needed to overhaul the defense and improve attacking options off the bench. We did, so what's the problem?

Will underwhelm but hope I'm wrong: Lallana, Lambert

Will be ok: Lovren, Moreno, Markovic, Balotelli

Studs within 18 months: Manquillo, Can, Origi

I've a lot of time for Mario and Sturridge as players, but surely Rodgers has got himself two of the most egotistical high maintenance drama queens in football? Could be magic if he makes it work and manages to keep both sweet - if not stand by for fireworks.

Sturridge as a person, or on the pitch?

Balotelli will get games--Sturridge never plays 10 games without some sort of injury that keeps him out a few games.

In selling Suarez and buying Balotelli, Liverpool's strike force has turned from SAS to BS in the space of a few months.

haha, Liverpool fan, but good one.

Thats the anti Liverpool best case, and it might happen. Also possible he flourishes, a la Suarez. He is older, possibly more mature, and Brendan may have better MM skills than other managers. At 16M well worth the risk...imHo.

Every team has fans that thinks their boys walk on water....Man City is no different in that regard. All crap,

Seriously Guys, Friends & Foes, with his warts & all, Super Mario productivity & performances given to us far outweigh all the griefs & disappointments.
He is a True City Legend.

The sheer audacity (his wink and all ) struck @ the MUppets, MUnckins, MUffins' psyche & arrogance which I believe they (including Fergie) have never recovered or will ever forget.

Now we will have the second coming of Balotelli at the RagaMUffins' arch enemy camp. Stay tune ;)
