Balotelli, Dzeko, Tevez

If Tevez would be here all season, the playing time for Dzeko/Balotelli would be very little.
Tevez is lot more consistent then the other two strikers, he fits the system more behind Agüero, and Mancini wouldnt put Aguero to the bench for Dzeko if he is fit to play.

So in some way Mancini got big help from Tevez:D, to give playing time to other strikers.
If there is no big injury next year for our strikers (4 months+) it is very hard to rotate all 4 of them.
Dzeko would be starting at teams like Juventus, Bayern...

I would sell Tevez, this is the last time we can make big money on him.

I was quite impressed with Tevez since he came back. I hated him before for being too selfish and trying to do too much himself. He changed his attitude and he became a team player so suddenly. If he can continue to play like this and not going back to his old himself, I would definitely keep him.

What are you impressed by: his play or the fact that for the 5 weeks he played for us he didn't cause any trouble?

In my opinion he played well, but didn't put in any great performances (with the exception of his game against Norwich). And I don't understand this idea that he and Aguero developed this great partnership--they were shut out for the last three games. I do recognize that Norwich actually tried to play against us instead of parking the bus like the ManU, Newcastle and QPR, but still...zero goals in three games is hardly a great partnership.

Many will disagree with me on the above, which is fine, but ultimately I have not forgiven him for what he did, and we can get rid of him and replace him with someone just as good. If we are going to pay world class strikers to play for us, I would rather spend money on one that hasn't completely fucked the club over.

The 26-year-old, who is likely to feature as Bosnia-Herzegovina take on Republic of Ireland in a friendly on Saturday, will not let the competition at City discourage him from fighting for a place.

He told Sky Sports: "No it's not worrying me because I think I've shown that I can play at Man City and that I deserve to play. I've scored some very important goals.

"I'm still at Manchester City. For Man City I'm not thinking about my future. I'm just thinking about the games against Ireland and Mexico.

"The coach decides who plays and I respect that. I always tried to do my best all season, even when I didn't play.

"At the end I scored a goal, maybe one of the most important goals in City's history, and I'm so proud of that."

would love for him to stay.

Here's a thought.

Scum have/had 5 Strikers. Rooney,Wellbeck,Berbatov,Owen and Hernandez.

3 of them aren't happy.

I think the fourth choice striker needs to be either a veteran or an up and coming.

exactly what i think.

Keep them all! If we go further in the various cup competitions there will be plenty of games for four strikers. In fact I see no reason why we shouldn't have five strikers like the rags when you take suspensions and injuries into account.

CRAP

We will only get the best out of Dzeko if we sign somebody to supply the crosses for him, if we don't then he may as well go.

Tevez as not been at his best since he came back into the team and the way he dicked the club not arsed if he was sold.

Mario as got time to improve and to grow up so hope we keep him.

Can see at least 1 but maybe 2 going.

We are ONE injury to a striker away from being short, so FOUR strikers are needed. Additionally, by being able to have 7 subs, it is EASY to have two of them be strikers, thus enabling the manager to choose who is best suited to the opposition and who is being taken off. SOmetimes, that will be a different player. Indeed, we need to rest Aguero at times, too, during a long FOUR COMPETITION season. I have NO DOUBT that City are going to play HARD for all four trophies, and that means a MASSIVE BACKLOG OF GAMES in the latter stages of the season, with at least one or two strikers NEEDING A BREAK as the season wears on, not to mention the midfielders who support them.

The only place that really does NOT require rotation are the defensive triangle of GK and the two CBs, as they do not put in near the mileage of the other outfield players. At City, even the FBs are doing midfield type running, most of it at speed, which is why they need rotation, too.

With the addition of highly specialized sports science, it is EASY to see when a player tails off during a game (passes astray, speed diminishing, average distance covered decreasing, etc... and Mancini did an EXCELLENT JOB of taking off players in the 60-70 minute timeframe, when the proverbial strains (hamstring, thigh, calf) start to show up and when fatigue starts to increase the chances of impact injuries, such as ankle knocks, etc...

We would do well to use all three subs in every game, as we have been doing, so that 1/4 of the team gets a rest EVERY GAME! That allows for the "high mileage" players to get 3 games out of every four, preserves their fitness and lowers their fatigue levels.

FOUR STRIKERS are not only needed, but for a top team EXPECTING to win silverware, it is essential. As I said, ONE injury and you may see yourself as short. Thankfully, with Yaya, he is a ready made fifth striker!

All that said, if one was to go, I hope it will be Tevez and that Guidetta comes back in tot he squad to try to prove himself at the top level.

Strikers out: adebayor and dzeko (maybe tevez too)
guidetti out on loan to a side like Fulham (no disrespect)

strikers in Gomez and if tevez goes maybe get a grant holt (useful target man who wouldn't mind riding the pine pony)

Grant Holt? Really? Surely we don't want a slow, 31 year old target man from a lower/mid-table club? We're Champions ffs, with unlimited cash! If we need that kind of player we already have Dzeko who's far better, and even recalling Adebayor would be preferable if Dzeko leaves (which I hope he doesn't).

I thionk all we need up front is someone with exceptional pace to change things round a bit when teams park the bus or Plan A isn't working. The strikers we have were good enough to win us the title this season, (even without Tevez for most of it) so I see no reason to get rid of them, maybe just try & get RvP as the pacy option if we do sign another forward.

Aguero & van Persie with Tevez just behind would be a pretty epic attack!

If you made a good offer, he's yours. Unless another striker leaves, he will see little playing time.
