It's his own fault.

just like it's his own fault when he receives racist abuse, right?

jesus

No, not just like when he receives racist abuse, and if you can't see the difference then goodness me. You can't really compare the two, since one is something Mario Balotelli has no control over (being racially abused by others) and the other is something he certainly can (his attitude on the pitch which is UTTER SHITE at times).

If each of us City fans had a pound/dollar for every time Mario Balotelli has gone to ground in a City uniform and then angrily swung his arm, we'd all be filthy rich. Sometimes, he is truly fouled but others he is just a whinging ****.

As stated by Chicago Blue earlier in this thread, we are talking about the same things 2 years into Mario's career at City. It is a shame as he is a superb striker when he's on.

I will say that early on today I thought to myself "my god, Mario actually looks up for it today. This could get interesting". I also thought he made some amazing plays today and had some great turns and bursts of speed. That volley just over the bar would have been showed hundreds of times by now had it gone in, because it was a wonderful strike.

I do feel like he is growing up a bit, I must add. Yes, he is still very temperamental but I think he'd have been sent off in a game like today's many times in the past. At some point, his anger would have gotten the better of him with the way Stoke's players were taking the piss out of him. Then again, he might get sent off in his next match under the same circumstances.

Thees ees Mario. Only thees.

Hansen said it 'might' of been a red card and he 'possibly' should of walked. No it definitely was a nasty elbow and he certainly should be sent off.
I'm not normally one to get involved in the bias/agenda nonsense, but Hansen's bias against and disdain for Balotelli is ridiculous.

WTF!!!

How are the two even remotely connected? One he has complete control over, the other he has no control over.

Jesus, indeed.

The boy who cried wolf.

It should've been a red, but not given because of his history of going to ground too easily. Shame really.

Make him play a few games on a cinder pitch. He'd soon stop those easy tumbles. Need to get this element removed from his game quick sharpish. It's gone on too long, as it is.

Don't disagree with you but you have to wonder how the likes of Wellbeck and Youing are still getting the benefit of the doubt on penalty decsions with their previous.

I think there's a lot of BS about Mario on here.

He did overreact yesterday, but sometimes you have to in order that sn incident is dealt with. It's sn unfortunate part of the modern game and he isn't the only one by any stretch that does it. He does come from Italy though where heavy contact is less accepted and that's probably why he's gone down quite easily thus far this season (and won us quite a few free kicks).

Nothing happened yesterday because the referee didn't see it, not because of his reputation, and Mario seemed to accept that. If only you lot could be as fair to him and help him feel accepted. If we can get over what Carlos has done then Mario should be given a fresh start too.
