Funny you should say that i spotted JO in there the other day!

Lol, I bet he looked livelier than he does on the pitch as well!

hehe!

He was strolling past Boots on the bottom deck with three other black guys ..... i didn't recognise them , they could have been mates or reserves team players or somethin' like that .... and i only noticed him because of his height and hair do!

Bit indifferent tbh, hes either going to become a superstar in the league very quickly or not settle in england / prem throw his dummy out of the pram ala Robinho and sold back to an Italian club within a season or so at a big loss. No doubt hes an incredible talent if we actually see it in a city shirt only time will tell.

What I have seen I quite like him, he does look like a bit of a lunatic and a moody miserable twat, thats going to piss off his own team mates, opposition players, refs, authorities, his manger, the club owners, opposition fans the media etc etc etc.

At the end of the day hes box office, fans and media love nutters like Mario.

Nobodys saying that Balotelli doesn't have the talent to turn things around over time ....... but you know , i know , Mancini knows , and the player himself knows that he didn't do himself justice at Wolves ....... his energies were channelled in the wrong direction

try saying any different to the 2,500 city fans who paid , and travelled , 70 miles to watch him!

I was one of those that paid and travelled to watch my TEAM not one player who happened to be selected.Considering the length of time he has been out and a new league and team-mates to boot i am willing to give the young lad time to settle and improve
I was another of those who travelled to Wolves and i echo these comments of Blue Bas***d

Trouble is BM, Roberto doesn,t do the "in the reserves to get fit" bit. the italian football culture does not recognize this idea-italian football doesn,t even bother with reserve teams.at all.balo needs game time and there may be an argument which says such game time should be in the firing line of the 1st team so he can experience the pace of the game.bergkamp didnt play in the reserves when he intially struggled-in present day football, the likes of Torres and Drogba, following injury are straight back into the 1st team without any reserve team football. i doubt very much that carlos will be banished to the reserves when he returns from Argentina..and when you think about it,playing with the likes of Etuhu and Jo are hardly going to prepare a top-class player for the rigours of the english premier league-neither of these players have shown ,consistently that they can handle it!

Yeah , i can see what you're saying , and to be fair i agree with you .......

managers do appear to be under pressure to throw big names straight into the team , even from injury.

but it seems to me Mancini is under a great deal of pressure right now , and make no mistake he was absolutely livid on Saturday DURING the game , and after it ... did you see him going beserk on the touchline?

At the end of the day his future is gonna be based on results , and maybe sooner rather than later , and if he doesn't get them the pressure from all sides will only grow ..... and quite how much time he's got to give the likes of Balotelli the chance to improve his fitness levels and impact is another question ....... maybe he wants his cake and eat it ........ he stands or falls by the decisions he makes.

No doubt he,s under pressure, although lets be clear, the pressure managing in Italian football,s top league is at least as much,if not more intense-their own media make ours look like schoolboys when it comes to over-the-top reactions ie in italy there are whole newspapers devoted to football, devouring the most minute event daily..this,together with the fact that Roberto had the immense job of pulling Inter out of the shadow of AC,and giving them thier 1st title(s) in years makes me think that he can handle pressure.
However ,the 7 days leading up to the Wolves match he was faced with a plethora of problems that no doubt even he had not faced before.british players on the piss during a 3 game-a week period..captain carlos injured and homesick and er..home,Toure deciding to go home at half time during the previous match...
If Carlos had been available whats the betting he would have stuck to one man up-front with Balo introduced from the bench? a wholly more satisfactory scenario for a forward easing his way into the premier league. Its too easy to say that Ade could have played up front on his own-its clear that he isn,t the man for that partc tactic. To ease the pressure on Ade he gives him a strike partner and thus abandons his preferred approach of packing the midfield, dominating possesion and relying on quaility strikes to pinch the game.
Reverting to his fav tactics produced a result at Blackpool(Ade sub)-its clear that citys best performances have come this season playing one up front-how ineffective were drogba, esssien and malouda made to look when this was done?
balo,s quiet debut was the result of a difficult week for Bobby-it wont always be like that.

I'm expecting 20 goals & 3 red cards from Mario this season.

hehe ...

i'm tempted to say we've probably got more chance of 20 red cards , and 3 goals ..... but we HAVE got to give him time ..... we can only go off one league game so far , and he could turn out to be the bees knees!

All this flak that Balotelli is getting is fuckin ridiculous. The lad has not played for 6 months and Saturday's game was ideal to play him in since according to everyone we were gonna batter Wolves. He's young and is playing in a foreign country and will take time to settle just like anyone would in a new job or new town. This morning i woke up to the world and his mother telling me that Gareth Bale was the second coming. Was this not the same player who took over 20 games for Spuds to be on the winning side, prompting claims that he was a jinx and who could'nt get a regular spot till last year. Or maybe we'd prefer to have someone make a fantastic debut like Mcminimal and be shite after that. Time is all he needs, same as Mancini ,same as City. Time for all to take a deep breath ,look at our past and get behind the players. We'll get there not today or tomorrow but in time and after 30 odd years of waiting, time is something i'm used to and prepared to wait for to see my club at the top,not for one or two seasons but years to come.

Bravo.Take a bow,son.

We might only see the best of him at home for a while, games where we'll have a lot of the ball - Saturday was a tough game for anyone to debut, the way we played.

He seems to be one of those players who looks like he's not really bothered, when the opposite is true.

The abuse Balotelli gets on here is beyond pathetic, no one can even pretend to have an informed opinion about how he is going to perform in the prem for at least a couple of months, but of course its much more fun to destoy our players rather than support them.

Totally agree mate!

Its pathetic. Especially Black Moomba or whatever who 'travelled 70 miles' to watch the game and almost expected Balo to entertain him on his debut.

FFS get a grip. He's 20 yrs old, not played any competitive football in god knows how long, on his debut, never played in an English game. Seriously? What do people expect of him? You need to give the guy a chance, it's only been 1 game?

Didnt he SCORE on his debut ? or have some wiped this from their memories ??
