this is the same thing i have been saying.. you havent seen a potent world class player grow up in front of you.. i will suggest a medicine.. go and just watch rooney's performance in any match in 2006-2007 season... yo9u might understand what i am talking about...

Anyone who has watched mario take freekicks for internazionale and italy under 21s would never say that mario shouldnt have went over to take that freekick...
its a shame that such a good dead ball specialist hasnt scored in a single freekick for city...

The problem with Balotelli is that he thinks he's already made it. He shows zero desire to work hard.

disagree bro.. problem with balotelli is that he sets his standard so high that he gets frustrated when he cant match it even for a single second...
he should change his approach...

Standard based on what? He needs to get his head down and work on the basics.

I'll ask again; how long?

bro.. i have said it... till euros are over... please.....
Can we wait that long for him to MAYBE realise his potential? We need him to deliver; now. No more histrionics or theatrical tumbles on the pitch, no more crazy madcap antics from him off the pitch.

tbh we wouldnt have needed him like this desperate if tevez had showed a bit of respect for our club at munich... this was supposed to be mario's season to learn and grow up finally... but the tevez incident made mario an important figure for our team which is a very big responsibility for any 21 year old... he isnt ready for it...

I agree with that about Tevez but he is earning big boy money and for that we are entitled to demand big boys attitudes and effort.

Re: Mario now getting a lot of stick from home fans.

The T-Shirt he revealed when opening the scoring at Old Trafford is so true. He wanted to take a free kick having let Kolarov take the first 3 and yet everyone jumps on Mario and not Kolarov because Kolarov grabbed the ball and stormed off with it.

The guy might not have had his best game overall, but he still scored 2 goals and kept us in a match we should have been out of. The whole team was wank today, it's as simple as that. Balotelli was actually one of our better players but some people just have it in for him.

It's embarrasing the way some City fans treat him, they can't seem to cope with watching a player come through who is going to be one of the best. People pulling out contradictory arguements such as "he just doesn't do enough on the pitch and give enough to the team" then people produce stats showing his goal per minute ratio and how many points he's won for the team, so their response is "well if he wasn't always suspended etc". Surely if you don't think he's good enough then its beneficial for the team that he's suspended?

Mario will more than likely be gone next season because of the way he's treated in England. I for one, will be sad to see him go.

Therefore he shouldn't be in the side. And I think I heard somewhere that if Kun had been fit, Mario would not have been in the side. We can't afford to wait for him.

mate... i am talking real serious... if you cant see that its not my problem...
for me silva has been the worst city player this year... thats the main reason for our set back because our attacks rely a lot on him n toure...

wear what you like - it won't cover the rag shirt on your back.

firstly,i will never be a rag.. secondly,i am basically not a city or epl fan but surely a city supporter... but has been following city since 2000 because of the hatred towards united... i really didnt know city were shit when i started supporting though as i had no idea of premier league...
but i really do beleive that silva has been the worst performer...

-- Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:29 am --

Not picking on you pal! I neither agree nor disagree. I'm just saying, criticising Silva on here can often lead to disaster.

Not even close to it. Dzeko and Mario have been worse than him. I won't even mention Savic.

yeah.. thats what he should do...

by standard i meant instances like when he gets closed down by defenders and lose the ball he gets frustrated and tantrums follow whereas players like dzeko kun and all lose the ball and they wont give these tantrums.. they just get on with it... but as mario vents out all his frustration those who watches him think that he has done some really big mistake... he should change his approach...

-- Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:35 am --

thats really coz you all think from the city perspective and i think from a different perspective... if silva had played well dzeko and mario wouldnt have looked this awful... next time when silva plays well i am sure dzeko and mario will look good too...

Great post. Agree with every word.

bro... lets give the boy time till the euros.. thats all what i have been saying... a bit more patience... as u had told earlier,if mario can play more matches like RVP and Rooney, with his strike ratio he can be the top scorer of premier league next season...
