I think Mario is very overrated but still a good player. He's nowhere near world class. Noel Gallagher asked him if he thinks he'll be the best player in the world and I cringed because he'll never be the best player in the world. His decision making can be poor, his balance is terrible, his passing is erratic, his effort levels can be questionable and his attitude can be unacceptable...but he's got some excellent attributes...he's got some pace, he's good at defending corners, he can go past a player, he can strike a shot very well, he scores goals and his penalties are immense. All-in-all I think he's a good player, someone who needs to improve a hell of a lot, but a good player.
He needs some longer fucking studs! No doubting that.

Maybe it would help if he stopped wearing roller-fucking-blades!

I can't believe the number of times he falls on his arse even when unchallenged.

All I hear about him is 'tough upbringing', 'rough treatment from referees' blah blah - its utter bollocks. A few decent performances and good goals do not make up for the absolute liability this guy is to our chances of winning another trophy this season. If he was a rag I would think he was an utter ****.

A few moments of genius now and again are not enough. He's a man with the mind of a fucking two year old with temper issues. Everyone says 'Mancini can manage him' - CAN HE FUCK - nobody can, the guy is obviously thick as 2 short planks and doesn't really give a flying fuck about us fans - if he did he wouldn't behave like he does.

Not surprised that Mourinho wanted to get rid.

Utter bollocks eh? Tell me what shapes someones character if it isnt your upbringing? Maybe you feel he just hates the team and play acts to fuck up our chances? Cos to me thats what youre suggesting...Whether people like it or not this is his character, for people to suggest it can be straightened out on a football field IS utter bollocks. Maybe youre of the old school 'man up' crowd who think all he needs is a good kick in the arse and problem solved? The only chance he has to show his true potential is if he's lucky enough to progress to the point where experience takes over petulance. I believe in the interim he will be of far more benefit than detriment to us.

Balotelli is the epitome of the Emperor's new clothes. I think the other players would prefer
Tevez to this clown. He will turn out to be Mancini's death warrant.

-- Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:30 am --

Balotelli is the epitome of the Emperor's new clothes. I think the other players would prefer

Balotelli is a liability in 80% of games. He is petulant, ineffective (spends more time on the floor than on his feet) and rarely creates. Whats annoying is every now and then he does something brilliant, but its simply not often enough.

All this shit about 'noel gallagher meets mario' or 'mario gives free money to whoever' is a joke. Certain people both on here and in the media make this guy out to be some god-like footballer when in reality at the moment hes just a sideshow clown with a crazy head. Some may think hes 'cool' etc but what we really need is a striker giving his all for 90mins, playing for the team, scoring goals, accepting the occasional decision will go against him and getting on with it like the professional he is paid to be.

Rant over.

If Balotelli leaves in the summer and we see him tearing up La liga/Serie A in two years, everyone will be slating the club for letting him go. Balotelli in his age bracket in the world. He has done the treble with Inter at the age of 20. Last night he showed desire. When Aguero decided he was going to have a cup of tea on the sidelines, BALOTELLI was trying to win the ball back. BALOTELLI was trying to get the team forward and attack. He ultimately failed in the first half, but atleast he was giving it a fucking go. He tried and he is getting slated. If he did an Aguero in the first half and just stood in no man's land, he would still get slated. I want Balotelli and Dzeko to both leave in the summer. Not because i dislike them, but so that all the assholes can actually realise what we have lost.

I think when you look at his record for a 21 yr old it speaks for itself, yes he's a bit petulant at times but he will mature, if your comparing him to Rooney like a lot are then you can see the similarities, Rooney was also undoubtably talented but had a hot head, only difference is our Mario has the potential to be one of the worlds best if we give him a chance, his record is already more than 1 in 2.

I thought Fat el Hombre made a good point to made me laugh.
