Balotelli training ground bust up with Mancini

Balotelli, who was fined one week's wages by Mancini earlier this month for visiting a Liverpool strip club 36 hours before the Premier League clash with Bolton, trained at Manchester City’s Carrington base on Wednesday after returning from a two-day break that saw him gatecrash an Inter Milan press conference.

He had Mancini’s permission to fly to Milan and spared himself a reprimand for returning late by reporting for training in time for breakfast in the Carrington canteen.

But Mancini’s exasperation with Balotelli’s efforts on the training pitch led to him subjecting the Italy striker to a fierce dressing down before coach Attilio Lombardo appeared to urge Balotelli to train elsewhere.

City officials dismissed the spat as simply another example of Mancini’s demand for high standards.

But following a number of poor performances for the first-team in recent weeks, Balotelli’s ability to generate negative headlines is beginning to overshadow his contribution on the pitch.

Balotelli has twice been pictured scrapping with team-mates on the training ground since arriving from Inter Milan in Aug 2010, with Jerome Boateng and Micah Richards on the receiving end.

Earlier this season, Balotelli was rescued from his burning house by fire fighters in the early hours of the morning prior to the 6-1 derby win at Manchester United — when he unveiled a "Why Always Me?" T-shirt after scoring the opening goal.

He has also been rebuked by Mancini for smoking, including a cigarette break in the City dressing-room, while he angered the manager by breaking a pre-match curfew by having a late night curry at a Manchester restaurant prior to the defeat at Chelsea in December.

Apologies if already posted, didn't see it elsewhere.

Wonder what's going on there.

The training report ended up being about it but no dedicated thread i don't think.

I have just had enough of him mate, sell him get Guidetti back and let him act like a clown at AC.

Not matured one iota that i can see, if he couldn't see he needed to buckle down now i doubt he ever will.

He is a liability not an asset.

I am starting to wonder. We are in the midst of a title run and all I keep reading about is how he crashed an Inter press conference and didn't make it back to training in time. Does he care about winning the title?

Sometimes he plays with passion and at others he appears to have something on his mind other than winning.

Thats my issue Haze bud, like HK above you i remember him being a decent level headed poster afaik i feel he is not showing this focus we need from him.

It defo doesn't help his cause when you hear Kun in the press saying how he will fight to the death for the club stuff. He is not exactly a geriatric is he.

I was hoping to see him focus and get his head down more, then he did that attempted stamp which set alarm bells ringing in my head.
I still held of and decided he was young and he will focus more.

We just are not seeing that, exactly as you say all we hear is "Balo crashes interview" "Balo kicked out of training".
I would dearly like to see headlines stating "Balo commits to hard work" or "Balo stays to train whilst others rest".
You know something positive football related.

People who went to watch training say it's not true. Why are you still peddling this non-story?

Douglas Higginbottom watches the squad train on an almost daily basis, he's the one that does the reports and he wrote this:

Just read a Mirror report that Mario was thrown out of training today. I must have been at a different session if he was!

During the part where Mancini was working on stuff with a "team" I could hear Mancini quite loud plenty of the time as he was shouting to get his message across.Quite possibly some was directed at Mario but as I said players were often switched around in the team Mancini worked with. When it was Mario's turn to switch back to the other group and play 6 a side that's exactly what he did.

Pictures can be made to tell whatever story a reporter wants ir seems.

Nelly's Left Foot who also posts here watches training i believe, he also told you its not true yet you're still going on about it. You need to calm down bud, it's only a game.

Cheers for that matey, i didn't see Dougs report from today just the one jumaji copy and pasted from somewhere.

Well i hope it is as Doug says as i don't think my poor heart can take much more balotelics :D

You can understand why people will believe it though as the pics to a man do not look good.
Lombardo looks effing angry that he has had to order him away by the looks of it.
