Close....they got a cease-and-desist letter from another band called Mammoth, so had no choice, however DLR did have to persuade them to use VH.Van Halen - were called Mammoth but when lead singer David Lee Roth joined he said they should change the name and use the brothers' surname. Very smart boy Mr Roth.
