Big country. Know their from Dunfermline but wow what a group died way to young

My closest friend is a guitarist who is absolutely convinced that Stuart Adamson was one of the finest rock songwriters who ever lived. I've never asked him why he thinks this because the stuff he played in rock groups was mostly heavy metal. But you mention Big Country around him, he'll get as serious as a trigonometry professor and talk about one of rock's great lost talents. They must have been quite something because he's got some of the best musical instincts of anybody I have ever met. I only know them from their songs I used to hear on MTV as a kid.
