Bands you discovered as support acts

Yes, big yellow postcard size, oddly got in the car car this morning and radio 2 playing a song off their new album.
I only ever bought 1 of their albums.
the first one, On through the night,i got a limited picture disk record, summert like the first 1,000 . Years later around 2002 i sold it for £1 along with 100's of my other albums for £1 each.
probably could have got a small fortune for it now !

Probably a fair few of the 100s sold worth a bit now, I sold teh Iron Maiden Sondhouse tapes for about £400 about 15 years ago goes for over £1000 now.

Saw Tracy Chapman open for John Martyn in Manchester. He introduced her himself with a joint in hand and said "listen to this girl, she's special" and she was
What a voice.
Fast car is my favourite song of all time.

T'Pau
They were supporting Brian Adams at the NEC and had just entered the charts with Heart and Soul
Next day I booked tickets to see them at the Apollo and in the time running up to the gig they had their number 1 hit, China in your hands, which meant the Apollo was easily sold out
I saw T'Pau on that Bryan Adams Tour in Leeds. Never heard of them when I bought the tickets for BA. They were really good and I bought the album Bridge of Spies on the strength of it. Some good tracks on it.

Public Hall Preston - Lindisfarne, supported by GENESIS who opened with 'Watcher of the Skies', I was hooked before PG had opened his mouth!

Bobbie Peru supported the Fall, Leeds Uni, about 2013. Check out Social Suicide'. Top band.
That’s weird and brings back lots of memories. Bobbie Peru were formed from the ashes of a band called Adom, half of them were from Manchester and half from Atlanta Georgia. I loved them from the 1st moment I saw them in 2003 supporting Puressence at the Scala in London. Their only album “idiot savant” is still one of my all time favourites. I went to see Bobbie Peru on their first tour after Adom split, at the Late Room, 16 years and 1 day ago. I still have the cd they were flogging at the gig.
