Banning smoking in beer gardens

I guess the idea is it would avoid advertising to kids.
It'll still make no difference. Every town around here is high streets full of pound shops and takeaways. The takeaways are where the kids spend all their evenings.

A lot of beer gardens have a designated smoking area to them or could easily create one, not sure why they don’t just stick with that. The ones that don’t tend to be places that any non smoker wouldn’t ever want to go and sit and have a drink in anyway.
Had a nice chat and fag with 3 nurses in Salford Royal gardens this morning.

Freedom of choice is important, and it can feel frustrating when personal habits are heavily regulated.

That said, I think the push for restrictions often comes from trying to balance individual freedoms with the impact on others, like secondhand smoke in shared spaces. Allowing pubs to choose their smoking policies could be a middle ground, giving people the option while still respecting others’ preferences.

As someone who switched to vaping, I’ve found it to be a good compromise. Using something like VIHO Supercharge helps me enjoy the habit without bothering those around me.
