Just got my ticket online. Available blocks were 329, 330 and 331. Still think there are a lot of tickets on sale so should drop down again a few more steps I'd imagine. Whether this will be in 500's I don't know? Expect an announcement today. I managed to get one on the last day of sales last year and it sold out shortly after about 10.30am and there doesn't seem to be as much hype this time round. Anyway as a lot of other blues have said you'll defo get one in the barca end and better seats to.

Criteria has now changed. ONLY dropping by 250 points each day and only shows Saturday to Monday. Are city expecting this to sell out by end of Monday!

I would say it is getting very close
I'm starting to think that a chunk has been given to our hospitality friends again !!

You dont need to think,it is quite clearly stated in the ticket criteria, that supporters clubs, players, corporate and staff will receive an allocation of tickets.
Its life, its always going to happen.

I object if a significant number have been given to these parties.

This is not a knee jerk reaction, but count me out of any cup scheme's next season. I'm sure my landlord will accept £100 for two seats near the tv and as much beer as me and my lad can dispose of. Possibly carry me home himself.
If and when we get to one of these corporate finals, it will only be a tiny portion of original punters who will succeed getting a ticket via points tally.

I think I will have to think hard about the benefits of forking out for 4 season cards next season as I am getting left behind with the increasing number of corporates getting priority. It will soon be impossible for me to get tickets for big games or finals for me and my 2 lads.

Had mine 35 years but due to a lot of things happening in life(plus ridiculous fcuking cost) I have also not been able to do as many aways as I did in the past so I "only" have 10990 points....just become eligible today for Barca. Not moaning at all about younger Blues ahead of me in points now, just an observation from myself & sure there are others who may think the same.

If ever we go into the shit again(God forbid) I would be back in a heartbeat.......unlike the corporates.

I emailed the Club a couple of years back WRT Ajax away and the very high criteria they sold out. Main part was allocation to coorperate and allocation to Supporters Club. Couple of days later they called me back and explained the ease of getting there was one of the main factors (I get that part) of the high demand sales. When i asked about Coorperate and SC allocation she would not give me the amount but said it was 10% of tickets to each (Not hard then to work out how many each got!). Being on the Cup Scheme only helps you get a ticket, not guarantee you one. I am glad they have reduced it by 250 points per sales criteria.

Two questions/points..

My mate has 4 seats in the exec lounge I think, the one where you get seats behind our owner if he came. He sits 3 rows from the front row, Mubarak's seat, centre of the posh seats in the Colin Bell level two. Not sure of the name but he pays a fortune.
Regardless, in the past he's had no problem sorting me tricky away days. He has four seats, him, his Dad and his two boys, there about 4 and 8. Europe away isn't for them. This time, he's not going to Barca, offered me his seats, or the seats he should get. Monday he was told he was on standby for 2. He pays £1000's of pounds a season ticket, granted he gets dessert at half time and cheese and biscuits at half time. But my point, if he's not the corporate getting seats at the Nou Camp, who is?

Secondly I have 8000 points myself, what are my chances?

I guess a third point, if we get dicked in midweek, will there all of a sudden a huge surplus of tickets?

we wont get dicked, but if they fluke a 4-0 win you will be right about tickets. i'm going no matter what. just like roma. our team need us.

a load of posters on all these kinds of ticket threads are always slagging of the 'hospitality crowd' for getting access to away tickets 'before the real fans'. It is simply not true. The way it actually works is this. Firstly, there is always a small allocation of tickets every away match is allocated to the 'hospitality crowd'. It is about 5% of the total allocation. BUT, the only hospitality customers that get offered those tickets are the ones that have purchased 'season long hospitality packages, for several years', which like everyone else, is paid in advance.

The cheapest option for seasonal hospitality are the 'executive seats', which costs about £1,700 per seat, per season. Whilst they have a right to apply for all away tickets, the automatic right to a ticket is absolutely NOT guaranteed in anyway. There are hospitality clients that have been to 95% of all home and away games for 10 years that are still not guaranteed an away ticket.

For the Barca away game, unlike other champions league away games, there are no category 1 tickets (seats only in the corporate areas) because Barca are not willing to offer that opportunity (unlike Bayern Munich, Real Madrid etc) and the cheapest hospitality available for the Barca game is 750 euros, which gives you a seat and access to a bar area with free crisps and free soft drinks. So, for most of the CL away games, many of the hospitality clients take up the Category 1 tickets and do not actually take up their full allocation for the standard tickets, which means more for the people with a decent amount of 'points' might have missed out.

So, if the allocation for us is 4,700 for Barca, then probably less than 200 of those tickets would be made available for City hospitality clients, all of which will have been paying huge amounts of money for their season tickets in the first place - and for many years. Also, it was only today (20th Feb) that the hospitality customers got the call to tell them if they managed to get tickets or not and pro-rata, a whole bunch of hospitality customers did NOT get tickets.

thanks for clearing that up mate.
