No way the allocation will increase. City will have already requested the most they can have, knowing the huge demand for the game. And the way Barca have priced it shows they are expecting big demand their end too.

It's always okay to have a bit of hope and also you never know. City might be waiting to see what the speed is like when the tickets go on sale due to the high price and could request a bigger allocation if the tickets are in high demand.

Mate, if city had any doubt about demand they wouldn't have set the points so high. They've actually got much better at gauging demand now after making errors in the past. And FIFA rules are that the away fans get 5%, which is what we've got. The only hope of further tickets in this situation is if the home team can't sell out, and that seems very unlikely.

Well, I'm just remaining optimistic.

I am on the scheme and currently have 8,500 points. Should I pin my hopes on the club further reducing the points or just get out the begging bowl now?

If it's the latter can anyone with a spare please pm me?

Good for you mate, but prepare for disappointment, or try getting other irons in the fire. These tickets will be like gold dust.

Well, you never know. I don't think 2500 points on the CL scheme will do it though. :(

Is that what you're on? If so, I would start trying supporter clubs etc. Not trying to be pessimistic but you won't get one on those points.

I would try the supporters clubs but there aren't any in my area. The closest being a 20 mile drive, I just remaining optimistic for now and if not I'll be on to operation ticket pleading.

Even if you get a ticket from somewhere else TC won't let you travel as the ticket won't be through the club. Think you might need a rethink on this one.

If you're really desperate how about this for a plan? Go to Barcelona a day early and go on their stadium tour. If it's anything like Real Madrid you can have either a guided tour or an unguided tour. Where you are effectively shown the way round via a series of notices and taped off areas. Simply "get lost" somewhere you can hide until the next day and when the gates open you can come out of hiding and watch the game.

Admittedly this will take some balls but desperate times and all that ?

They do tours on the day of the game. A Liverpool fan did it a few years ago just had a snooze in the bogs when they went past the away end
