Does anyone think that it will get below the 9000 points and if it does what we reckon it will go down to? I've got 8700 points here.
Might get just below, but I know supporters clubs get tickets after it's past 9,000 so if there aren't more than 460 left than no. Bit annoying considering people on lower points will probably get tickets through points whores!

The club must know the demand for this match. I would guess that they would initially advertise to the level that it would sell out at if everyone who qualified purchased a ticket. So if literally everyone bought a ticket, it would sell out in the 9000-9250 window. Who knows though?

How do you know this? When I spoke to the club ticket office this morning I was told there was "POTENTIALLY" a chance that the selling criteria could be lowered further. I wasn't aware supporters clubs had been promised any sort of allocation if there were tickets still on sale after the already announced selling criteria.

Or they could be getting them through mates who have more points but can't go. Not exactly points whoring then is it?

Anyone who has got 9,000 points or above deserves a ticket thats for sure. I agree with you - what they then do with it is up to them.

This is my view of the situation. The Nou Camp can hold approximately 99,000 people. Even though only UEFA rules say that the home team only need to give 5% to away fans, it doesn't mean they cannot increase it. When Bayern Munich played there in the semi final, the away allocation was 7000 seats. Therefore, I think due to the demand for tickets this allocation will most likely be increased.

-- Tue Jan 28, 2014 4:42 pm --

This is my view of the situation. Fingers crossed

With 8.3k and 7.8k an increase sounds nice but I'm led to believe that the game is sold out in the Barca parts of the ground.

Barca have sold out so there will be no additional allocation. Just been on their website to check!

the only reason they gave Munich additional tickets last year was because they were 4-0 down from the first leg and didint sell out

I'm wondering why, in a situation like this, the club can't do a secondary print on the Ticket with the purchaser's name!

The ticket would have to be shown with a matching passport at the initial ticket check zone in Barcelona.

It would certainly stop people buying tickets they have no intention of using, whilst ensuring their points tally ever increases, and then these tickets being used by fans with less points that some fans who would have bought and travelled but who failed to make the criteria.

Seems a simple solution to me, and would certainly prevent the bitterness that is sure to emerge as tales of Blue Members with large pockets manage to get to the game whilst those with 8,000 points and more modest incomes watch on TV.
