Why so much hostility towards the barca fans coming over for the game i personally like that they want to come in the city center to enjoy a few beers that's what i like to do in European aways give them a break we have got to go there soon.

Catolonia IS a part of Spain whether they like it or not. And they only stopped bullfighting very recently, before they start getting on their moral high ground. I don't like Barcelona as a city, or the people that I've met from there. They have this feeling of superiority, they weren't the only part of Spain that was treated badly during the Franco years; in the Basque they weren't allowed to show local pride or in Asturias, Valencia, Andalucia etc. My friend moved to Barcelona a couple of years ago and he's turned into an arrogant prick too, giving it all this Independence this and Catalan that.

I can't wait until they do leave Spain though, see them playing against Girona and Tarrogona on a round robin basis.

i used to always quite like Barcelona with their tenuous links to City (opening match at The Etihad, City playing them over there
as part of their 75th anniversary celebrations etc) and opposition to Franco but when I finally went over there I found the
people generally had a chip on their shoulder. Not all of them, of course, but Madrid seems generally to be the friendlier city which
surprised me.
