Seems like we are going to be dipping into the market soon for a few of their top stars. With TB and FS at the helm I can only imagine that we bought players that wouldn't affect our future purchases. I do believe that Soriano will inquire about Lionel Messi given his current contract situation as well as the plan to raise Man City's reputation in World Football, although I think its really really doubtful we can get him.

Do you agree that we will buy a Barcelona player in the next 12 months? And who do you think it will/should be?

Gone are the days ov a Messi signing. For 1 he'd cost 200m and that'd mean we would make FFPR. We might have the old Barcelona back room staff doesn't mean Barcelona will agree to sell all there players to us. Think people are just putting 2 & 2 together and getting 5.

Can possibly see them trying to get Pep into replace Mancini. But I Defo can't see us signing any off there top players.

Not when Barcelona are actually afraid of us tapping up their players behind closed doors to the press. Do I think its a possibility? Yes. A very far from it possibility but a possibility of course.

But your talking Messi,Sanches,Iniesta,Busquets,Pedro,Valdes,Pique,Alves,Alba,Adriano,Mascherano,Thiago,Xavi,Fabregas and Villa to me none of them look gettable Maybe Xavi but he's getting on 34 but he'd still cost mega wages. I'd be happy to sing 1 of them but I can't see them selling any of them.
 
The likes of Tello could be a possibility.
They've to slot of young talent coming through that we may have a chance at getting though.
I'd like us to really try and push to get Samper, but I think that'd be too difficult now.
There could be a chance of Dongou leaving in the next two to three years if he doesn't think he'll ever get a chance, but again, I'm not sure about it.
 
Its already been said that we tried to get Thiago so that would mean bob wants him and he could be a wourld class signing for us if we could get him and maybe isco as a 3 behind aguero with spanish dave to rival Mata, Oscar and Hazard
 
The knowledge about individual players contracts and relationships within Barca may mean we can pull off one or two key signings but that trump card will be short lived. Far more exciting is the scouting and youth connections ( probably the best in the world) expect a raid on some emerging talent.....
 
I just think Messi is to close to Barcelona to ever leave, he would have to be forced out due to financial reasons for him to ever leave.

We would have to have Guardiola here to obtain any of the likes of Iniesta, Xavi, Busquets, Pique and possibly Messi.
 
I can't see us getting any of their 'big' players but there is a chance of us getting some of their younger players who haven't broken into their first team yet. Or perhaps some of their fringe players.

Fabregas will stay at Barcelona for life now, he will never return to another English club.

He has been one of Barcelonas better players this season anyway.
 
Don't understnad why the players would care who was chief exec and director of football.
If Garry Cook went to another big club, would people be saying that our players will end up at that club because Cook is there?
 
Thinking we could get Pique, Iniest, Messi or one of Barca's top playes seems a bit optimistic. I could definitely see us getting a young player, like Tello.
 
David Villa would be nice addition,especially if the rumours that the wizard and him are very close mates,but it would be bye bye Mario and possibly Edin if that happens
