Messi wanted to spend his entire career at Barca. When that went sour, the first person he contacted for advice was Pep, by all accounts. That suggests a respect that would preclude any prima donna behaviour. So my only worry would be his 34 year old legs. If they last and stand up to the battering they would get in the PL, all will be good.

That's what makes the recent outburst by Tebas so hypocritical. The Spanish Banks (aided by the Government) keep both Barca & Real in business & would never, ever, call in their debts. They can however (and no doubt will) order them to cut their costs. Football has had a well overdue wake up call as a result of this pandemic. What Barca & Real can't stomach is that City are structured to ride the storm whilst they are not.
