More like £150millionHave they included the future sales of the tv revenue? If not that’s some doing plus saying they going to make 240m profit next season is some profit! If that’s the case when they come back in for Silva it’s 120m
Not sure what revenue they get with gate receipts and merchandise but suspect their biggest revenue is tv rights and by mortgaging this for the next 25 yrs smacks of utter panic.
All the levers were after the 21/22 year so shouldnt have contributed to the accounts.
They did lose messis salary of £100m or so and thats likely a large part of the profit.
Next years significant profit will be the huge gains on disposals from selling their merchandising arm (one time only).
Will wait for the swiss ramble review. Impressive output if all done properly but the revenue of £900m looks highly irregular
The first "lever" was in 21/22 I think. That's more than 260 million euros, isn't it? If so, it's all inflated and the underlying results don't look so good. Then 400 + 100 + 100 in 22/23? Need to see the accounts I guess.
You amortise when you buy as it’s a depreciating asset. Sales of assets are booked entirely in that year.If they sell their TV rights for the next 25 years, do they not have to spread that income across the 25 years in their accounts? Bit like when you buy a player on a 5 year contract you ammortise that across the 5 years. You may pay it all up front, but in the accounts its spread across the contract.
