Just watching the arsenal game there in a similar position to us!
Playing a poorer side, but in a worse position, they did OK, but Monaco, who aren't a great side anyway, but were absolutely shite on the night. We'll be very very lucky to play a Barcelona playing that shite.

We have a chance, but we have to go there with the attitude of "we'll score more than you", and not worry about conceding, because 1-0 is no good.

Exactly this. Now if our manager can take a step of thinking of a surprise element, like Atletico fully overrun Barcelona last years semi 2nd leg in the 1st 20 mins, we might be in for a surprise. We might trail 3-0 but that's the risk we took upon us by playing such a disastrous 1st half at home.

Pride, passion and 110% effort from everyone is all I want tonight.

They give us that and we have a chance of a result and at least walking away with our heads held high and going into the weekend and rest of the season with a small amount of hope.

Come on City!!!
The trouble is Barca can destroy anyone especially if we have to chase the game

Hart's penalty save was vital. What we need is a bit of luck and to score first from an kind of fluke. The kind of luck we are due

The test regarding City's commitment is the weekend.

So we must make sure Barcelona are chasing us.
Hart's penalty will only prove to be vital if we beat them 2-1 (and go on after e-t or penalties), 3-2, 4-3 and so on.
Why do we need to score from a kind of fluke?
Luck is what you create yourself by putting in a shift. Vs Burnely we didn't deserve to be Lucky.

Than again, I couldn't bother if we were as Lucky as Monaco yesterday and got through to the next round making the world moan how that bad guys totally undeservedly knock out the good guys.

Come on Blues you owe the fans big style after that awful display on Saturday. For me PM should start with only Kun up front, but with David S. playing central just behind him.
I`ve never slated our manager off,but tonight he also has to show some balls and certainly not start with Fernando, who was like a rabbit lost in a cars headlights last time.
100% from all players tonight !! We cannot afford a single passenger.Good luck lads.

I thought we worked OK against Burnley, but were well short of confidence, but I know I'll be in the minority on that one.

We need to get off to a good start or it could be a long night and I am not looking forward to it

110% commitment???? I dont think i've even seen 10% commitment since Roma!
I pray for us. I pray for no red cards and no pens. I pray for no injuries. I pray for a team that plays with passion, desire, urgency. I pray for a team that plays 90mins like its the last 5.
I pray for something other than the 442 dross we've been served up for the last 2.5 months.

just a point to quantify our task tonight, barcelona out of 20 home games this season have only conceded more than one goal once in 3-2 win over villerreal. the general rule is they don't concede 2

rules are meant to be broken i suppose

_______________Hart
Zab Kompany Mangala Kolorov
____________Fernando
________Fernandinho Toure
_____navas_______Silva (not wide though)
____________Aguero

This is how I see it if it doesn't work throw on Bony and or Dzeko

Slightly lob sided I know but that's how we play anyway

I would have Milner in ahead of Navas due to his tracking back and put Milner on the left to help Kolarov out.

Silva just behind Kun.

I would have Navas start everyday because he does track back (more than anyone I would dare to say)

I’d take a realistic view on this game.

Winning and progressing is unlikely so failing that I’d like us go there and hold our own, try and stop them playing and hit them on the break. Nil nil at 70 mins would be fine for me and if we can win the game 1 nil I’d take away the positives and concentrate on getting back in to the competition next year.

Losing in a goal fest serves no purpose. We need to wise up in Europe and that might as well start now.
