Re: Sunderland pre match thread

There will obviously need to be changes for this game, Toure is going to be missing and, for me, we need to revert back to playing 2 strikers, it's time for Aguero to start a game and see what he can do. I'd also rest Kompany, his knee is clearly troubling him and we don't play West Brom until Monday night, so he'd have a full week or training and treatment to help him recover. Sunderland struggle up front and, realistically, we should be able to cope with their forward line with a Demichelis/Lescott combination well enough.

Feel so bad today, they just dont have any class at all, if they win the title the whole summer will be destroyed.... :(

Let them have their moment in the sun as it will set on them fairly quickly.

Smashing the coach window is not on any time but after a win?

It will be at least another 24 years before they win another title assuming they win it this year.

It was before the game, wasn't it.

Hart
Zab
Lescott
Demichelis
Kolorov

Fernandhino
Milner but no doubt Pellers will go with Garcia.

Nasri
Silva
Negredo/Aguero or Dzeko/Jovetic.

100 procent my opinion also!! Would love to see what Jovetic could do together with Aguero, they have never played together this year but are both master minds and good movements, Milner and Silva on the sides playing like last games 2nd half and this would be nice win.

I agree with all of this.

Zabaleta---------Demichelis------------Lescott-------------Kolarov

------------------------------------Garcia----------------------------------------

--------------------Milner------------------------Fernandinho-------------

--------------------------------------Silva-----------------------------------------

------------------Aguero-----------------------Negredo----------------------

Push the fullbacks up, Garcia screening in front of the defence and drive and mobility coming from Milner and Fernandinho in the middle. Nasri should be dropped for this one, Negredo should get a chance with Aguero (although I'd be happy with Dzeko starting with Kun also). Navas to come off the bench if we need more width, Jovetic if we need more guile, Nasri if we need to keep the ball and hold onto a lead.

I agree. Nasri & Navas need to be rested, Kompany clearly isn't fit. Negredo is off form and Dzeko has had a lot of game time recently.
There's enough guile in that team to see Sunderland off in the first hour. Aim to sub Aguero after an hour.

I'd change jovetic for dzeko and keep the rest of your team as you say give sergio an hour then bring jovetic on for him when the game gets a bit stretched.

Hart
Richards
Demi
Lescott
Kolarov
Diniho
Garcia
Silva
Jovetic/Nasri
Negredo
Aguero

4 2 2 2

This is too many changes from the strongest XI however Zaba must be kept fresh for the rest of the season, Vinnie must try to fully recover from his knee injury, Yaya is out, Nasri needs to find his form again. I'll be excited to see Alv and Kun back together, and by playing Garcia, we could add Jovetic to the team to add more movement and not worry about the defensive issues by having 4 very attacking players. I don't think their back four could handle Silva Aguero and Jovetic running at them

Time for a change for me..... nowt to lose now, Mackems will come with 1 striker so push forward and play in their half.
