There is no statistic that measures football intelligence. Assists is certainly not it, especially when you are comparing a defensive midfielder with a winger. If you think Milner is a more intelligent footballer than Barry then I'm afraid we're too far apart on our experience / viewpoint of football to make it worthwhile to even have a debate. It's a waste of both of our time so we might as well just leave it there.
