Barrys the national scapegoat

Well they wouldn't want to pick on a useless fat scouser.....

In my honest opinion, Barry was sluggish and very poor last night, haven't heard what comments were made but him, Rooney and Glen Johnson should all have recieved criticism.

Wrong for Gareth to be the scapegoat, imo Capello shouldn't have picked him anyway for this game - pointless having a defensive midfielder against a team that puts 10 behind the ball.

That said he looked like he was running in treacle all night, not knocking him but he is seriously slow.

On a side note, how poor is Ashley Young?!?!?! He is terrible.

I think that Barry plays better for England than he does for City.

He was fair last night - a lot better than many of his team-mates.

he saw a lot of the ball, and contrloled the midfield a lot - "midfield general".

He does have a glaring weakness in lack of pace, and apparent uninterest in running (as opposed to sauntering or jogging) back to recover when he is turned or beaten.

I thought Lescott had a good solid game.

Joe Hart had little to do so should avoid any criticism but there wasn't a decent performance from anyone. SWP improved the attacking option, and even BigKev was an improvement on Crotch. But Montenegro are one place below Burkina Faso - 'nuff said.
