surely some players will be rested, some of them looked a bit dead by 70 mins on Sunday (KdB especially).

.............Ederson...........
Danilo Stones Laporte Delph
...........Gundogan...........
.....Bernardo Zinchenko ....
Sterling ....Jesus....... Sané

I'd like to see Zinchenko and Bernardo in the middle so I'd forgo playing youth until the 2nd half. If we had injuries to Silva/KDB we'd need to see who can keep us ticking.

Basel / Stoke
Bravo / Ederson

Danilo / Walker
Stones/ Kompany
Laporte/ Otamendi
Delph / Zinchenko

Yaya / Silva
Foden/ KDB
Gun/ Gun

B.Silva / Sterling
B Jaysus / Aguero
Sterling / Sane

Vs Basel - Play Yaya further up with Gun holding

So only Sterling and Gun playing both but can be subbed if needed

There's clearly some players who're in need of a rest:

Walker, Otamendi, De Bruyne, Silva and Aguero being the main 5. Some fringe players have been on a lot and could probably do with a breather. Zinchenko, Gundogan, B.Silva, Sane.

I wouldn't swap Ederson. If he's going with a weaker outfield team, why sub out our best goalkeeper (who isn't affected by fatigue etc).

Jesus, Sterling, Fernandihno are all coming back from injuries and should be given time if fit.

I'd go for:

Ederson,
Danilo,
Stones,
Laporte,
Delph,
Toure,
Foden,
Fernandihno,
Sterling,
Jesus,
Sane.

Have Aguero, Silva, KDB, Kompany, Otamendi, Gundogan and Bravo on the bench in case it gets a bit hairy.

Basel are not a spent force, though we should win I would like to see Foden given his first start
I think Basel are a decent team, capable of causing us a bit of a headache. However, they also know they're well beaten. It would be madness for them to play a full 11 when they're struggling domestically as well. They could play their strongest team and still get beat 4-0 (again).

Danilo, Gundogan and Fernandinho would all be suspended for the first leg of the quarter final if they pick up a booking against Basel. Gundogan is due a rest anyway and i'd rather Fernandinho wasn't rushed back for a game where we don't need him.

Loads of people want to start with Danilo though. Even if he's not one of the most crucial members of the squad, i'd still not take any unnecessary risks by including him.

-----------------Bravo------------------
Walker---Stones---Laporte---Delph
------------------Yaya------------------
-----------Foden---D. Silva-----------
Sterling--------Jesus------------Sane

Bench: Ederson, Zinchenko, Kompany, Adarabioyo, Bernardo, Diaz, Nmecha

Why is it clear that David Silva needs a rest? Hes missed loads of games these last 2 months.
