Good crowd building up. Going to be over 50k.

Lots of options.

jesus must start to build up his match sharpness. I'd also play Foden

Pavel Královec (CZE) will take charge of City vs. Basel in the Champions League on Wednesday. His previous City games: - 2-2 draw with FC Copenhagen (2009) - 3-0 win over Aris (2011) - 2-1 win over Villarreal (2011) - 1-1 draw with Dortmund (2012) - 3-2 win over Bayern (2014)

Lots of options all of which will ensure we get through , the good thing is that Basle will press ( unlike Chelsea ) and will make for a decent game for those who brave the cold.

Scoreline is not as important as ensuring there is no pressure for Ferny and Sterling to come back sooner rather than later.

We could and should have scored 6 or 7 on their turf but I think this one will be a lot tighter.

We’ve got a possession wing, which if the left wing and a direct wing which is the right wing. Endless amount of times we see David, Leroy, Sergio, Zinchenko/Delph, Fernandinho keep the ball down that left side. The right wing is just for kevs crosses.

Yeah, true. But I was actually thinking how terrifying it would be if KW had to be a part of such frequent passing to and fro. Excellent player but sometimes I think he must have a mild attention deficit disorder. He is always capable of a brain fart, as the jargon goes.

madness if he doesnt give foden a start, otherwise rest key players

ederson
danilo
stones
laporte
delph
fern/ilkay (depending on fitness)
kdb
foden
silva/sterling (depending on fitness)
jesus
sane

Why are so few of you choosing NOT to rest Ginger Kev? I would also rest Leroy if Raheem is fit. No need to risk injuries to our key players. Does anybody know if any players are at risk of getting banned (ie. multiple yellows) in the next few weeks in either the UCL or EPL?

Ederson, Danilo, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko, Delph, Foden, Gundogan, Bernardo, Jesus, Sterling
Subs: Bravo, Otamendi, Kompany, Toure, Brahim, Sane, Aguero

Give a rest to Walker, KDB, Merlin, and Fernandinho and have best possible XI for the game against Stoke.
