Baseless speculation Iheanacho/Bony

He's abysmal at times and doesn't even look like he's trying

He won't trust youth players, it's not just Iheanacho.

Silva, we learn, has had an ankle problem throughout the season. Manu Garcia would play better than a struggling Silva and it would give Silva a chance to recover.

We have at least two young centre halves that would be better than Demechelis.

Denayer (Celtic player of the year, young player of the year in Scotland, full Belgium international) gets fucked off on loan so we can spend a fortune on Otamendi.

Marcos Lopes gets sold for £9m so we can spend £44m on the "potential" of Sterling.

If we'd have paid £30m each for Iheanacho, Denayer and Garcia they would be getting plenty of games and the team would be all the better for it.

Great post.Bony is a disaster, feel so sorry for Iheanacho.

There's a fair few who thought it was a terrible signing, me being one.

Same here. Playing for Swansea he had always been a highlights player and when we showed our interest I sat down for a few of the African Nations Cup games. He was lazy, poor touch and lacked movement. I then went on the Swansea forums and at a lot of there fans were saying similar, and many commented on his wayward finishing, even though they thought of him highly.

Also it was difficult to understand the purchase as his success had come playing one up top and at the time we still preferred playing two upfront and even if we played one he was never going to replace Aguero.

Im just relieved Pellers is leaving so the next batch of young players will get an opportunity and Denayer, who will be watching Iheanachos situation, will not leave due to the reality of the situation for young players and his mistreatment last summer. Hopefully Iheanacho instead of getting frustrated can see light at the end of the tunnel also.

Agree completely. The body language, pace and intensity change when he went off and we introduced Yaya and KdB was so marked its untrue.

A manager needs to see a struggling player like this and protect him and the side and he should be nowhere near the first team right now.
Yeah, I noticed this too. Nasri started making different movements, to align with Yaya's game (their chemistry is perfection), and Aguero reacted to De Bruyne's presence. It's clear what they all think of Bony. Only Pellegrini can't see it. Though having said that, I often see some weird body language towards Kelechi too, but without knowing the kid on a personal level, it's difficult to know why that is.

Just watched the highlights for last seasons home game with West Brom. Bony scored a good goal, hit the bar and looked determined. I can remember coming away from the game feeling positive about him. Night and day compared to yesterday. I cannot understand why he is playing so badly. Is it a mental thing where he feels inadequate compared to Kun, KDB, Nasri etc?

I cannot remember any player looking so out of place. I know Creaney, Badbuy etc. were crap but was the contrast with the rest of the team as large as it is with Wilf?

I think if he showed a lot of effort fans would appreciate it even if the end product was lacking but at the moment there is nothing.

Pretty much sums it up. We've had perfect opportunities to develop our youth, but instead they'll end up leaving us. We need to be more like Spurs with the way they've developed Kane and more recently Alli. We need to actually play them. Revolutionary, I know.

Behind that thick layer of shite, i am adamant there is a quality number nine sleeping. Problem is, he doesn't fit our playing style.
The way Pellers sets us, we need a striker as technically gifted as he is athletically, in the same mould as Benzema or Muller.
Bony hinders our attacking builds up with his less than average positioning awareness, poor mobility and passing capability.
I really miss Negredo and Tevez, these were a proper pairing for Aguero.

Bony just hasn't worked out. Personally I wouldn't have signed him and think Defoe would have been a better stop gap, but I can see why we signed him at the time. However he has not settled in and looks worse everything he plays. With Bony on the pitch it's like playing with 10 men, if Pelle doesn't fancy Nacho then fine (he's wrong but it's his call) play another midfielder at least it'll give us something.

Silva has had ongoing ankle problems going back to Mancini's days.
Denayer is not better than Otamendi who was voted on to last years La Liga team of the season.
Lopes' sale was obviously regarded by the club as good business.
Sterling is an English player and does have potential.
Garcia looks to me the most promising of those that you mention but he is only just 18.

Of more concern to me is that Otamendi will be nowhere near the PL team of the season.
