Baseless speculation Iheanacho/Bony

He won't trust youth players, it's not just Iheanacho.

Silva, we learn, has had an ankle problem throughout the season. Manu Garcia would play better than a struggling Silva and it would give Silva a chance to recover.

We have at least two young centre halves that would be better than Demechelis.

Denayer (Celtic player of the year, young player of the year in Scotland, full Belgium international) gets fucked off on loan so we can spend a fortune on Otamendi.

Marcos Lopes gets sold for £9m so we can spend £44m on the "potential" of Sterling.

If we'd have paid £30m each for Iheanacho, Denayer and Garcia they would be getting plenty of games and the team would be all the better for it.

^^

completely agree, we've had loads of chances to play them. hopefully pep will because pellegrini is never going to

Bony just hasn't worked out. Personally I wouldn't have signed him and think Defoe would have been a better stop gap, but I can see why we signed him at the time. However he has not settled in and looks worse everything he plays. With Bony on the pitch it's like playing with 10 men, if Pelle doesn't fancy Nacho then fine (he's wrong but it's his call) play another midfielder at least it'll give us something.
Great shout with Defoe. Would've thrived in this team. Bony just hasn't worked out on any level. It maybe difficult to unload him now but if we do it'll be for around 5M.

I can easily forgive a player out of form if that player, whilst struggling, actually puts in the effort. Bony has not only looked woefully out of form, he has been Bonyidle which, is unforgivable. Such a waste of money, and the fact that Pellegrini seems to refuse to play Nacho ahead of this lump is mystifying. Hopefully Pep will be given carte blanche to get rid at the earliest opportunity.

Can't remember bony being this shit at Swansea. I can remember him bullying teams with his power, scoring good goals and in general a good player. I used to enjoy watching him at Swansea, I was buzzing when we bought him. I hope he doesn't get another game this season, he's becoming painful to watch and we'd be better with ten men.

Bony for £5m?

I can comfortably guarantee we'll get at least £15m for him.

We should have sold him in January when there was interest in him. We may have fetched 15m for him then. I said it then that teams will try to get our players for cut-prices because they know Pep wants to shift them ASAP.

Silva has had ongoing ankle problems going back to Mancini's days.
Denayer is not better than Otamendi who was voted on to last years La Liga team of the season.
Lopes' sale was obviously regarded by the club as good business.
Sterling is an English player and does have potential.
Garcia looks to me the most promising of those that you mention but he is only just 18.

According to Pellegrini extended rest will solve Silva's ankle problem. It might be a perennially weakened body area but overplaying him using pain killing injections is not going to help.

Do you really know that Otamendi is better? Denayer has had rave reports and MOM displays in the CL and playing for Belgium. Given that, what is he exactly supposed to do to get into the 1st team, cure cancer? Denayer is already a very good player; his potential is to be world class. Anyway we could have kept Denayer and got Otamendi as well. What happened to the promises made to Denayer, the promise he'd have a crack at the first team?

The club also thought that buying Bony was good business.

Sterling has been frustrating the fuck out of me dithering on the ball and falling over at the hint of a contact. I think back to Bellamy to compare how a winger with pace should play. Some of his displays for Liverpool were very good linking up with Suarez, some of his displays for us have been good and some have been poor. I'd have been happy for us to have kept Lopes and not bothered with Sterling. Time will tell. He'll improve under Guardiola.

Garcia is 18. Lots of players have started out at that age and younger. If he's good enough he's old enough. Anyway getting some game time and having a role in the 1st team squad doesn't mean he has to play every single minute of every game.

I can understand us having a poor season with the injuries we've had and I don't really care if we don't win a dozen trophies a season. I'm happy with good watchable football. What I can't stand is the way we've built a dam up across the doorway to the 1st team and are preventing young players breaking through. Iheancho and the way he has been treated is the tip of the iceberg. Pep Guardiola doesn't think twice about using youngsters if he thinks they've got the talent. It's going to be a revelation next season, how good some of these youngsters prove themselves to be.

With the TV deal and Bony's goal record there will be plenty of suitors. Could get £20m at least.

£20M for Bony? If that's the going rate for players then we need £200M for Pogba.

Lots of PL clubs wanting a proven PL goalscorer should mean we can easily get 20m. I'd be disappointed with anything less despite his performances for us.

He's never been suited to our style of play. Never settled with us. And when you watch him play at the moment its quite clear that he's suffering from a huge crisis of confidence. A few clubs will look past that, decide that the way he played at Swansea suits their way of playing, believe that they can restore his confidence.

They will (unless we capitulate)

Look at other fees between PL clubs

They know Pep wants to shift him and he has no future here. Doubt any team will pay close to that considering our prior dealings of shifting deadwood. He won't go for more than 10.

We should say Chelsea are selling him - 40m straight in the bank.
