Indeed a case could be made now that because he has had so little game time in recent weeks Bony is probably a better option.Your third paragraph makes some sense of the situation. I'd add that Kelechi is being saved for the biggest games...including next Tuesday. He really is very good.

I beg to differ on this. I believe it is plausible as an inducement for Bony to sign in the first place. Bony may well have pressed Pellers hard in the knowledge that Kun would always be numero uno.I can understand him making promises to Willy for the Cup comps given their history together and the fact he has to spend 9/10ths of the season sat on the bench. I doubt that he has made promises like that to Bony or other players. I've noticed that he hasn't been asked about his ignoring of Kelechi in any of his press conferences. Probably because the press know he'd just deflect the question by making everyone fall asleep like he usually does.
