Battered or breaded fish supper

its nicer when the fish is Halibut or even a nice Turbot steak when you can get it.

I am a bit of a philistine with food, the only Fish I will eat is Cod and it has to be done in batter. The Fish you talk about might as well be caught on Mars to me.

You can only get them in a fishmongers can't you?

Yes. You honestly would love either. Both white fish that flake easily when nicely cooked. Delicate taste but yes they are pricey but then so is cod. We are lucky to live by the coast and get fish delivered to the door.

Got to be breaded plaice. Loved that from a Berni Inn in the seventies. Still have it now from the supermarket. Had it with batter last year in a chippy and it was terrible.

I brought home 140 lbs of mainly halibut, Ling Cod and Rock fish in September from Ak, maybe twenty pounds of gray Cod included cos I could. Probably over $3k worth. Oh I forgot about the King Salmon….. My arms were sore from fishing for three days

I can get 300g of halibut for about £9. Do you want to send me 10kg? I am only eating wild alaskan salmon these days I refuse to eat the farmed muck from west coast of Scotland. Fishing on Vancouver Island is a highlight for me. The crab, salmon and halibut are the best I've tasted.
