Can't see it. What's the song ?

Hello i love you

EDIT: It got me her name and number.

Smoooth

Considering the first thing out of my gob was "how would you like to go half's on a bastard", It's wasn't exactly smooth. Although I still say that line was a good ice breaker as it was meant as a joke and she took it that way and i got a giggle out of her if nothing else. If she had of took it differently I would of known she was either a stuck up woman or a dirty slag. Which are women I tend to try and avoid.

The Doors all day every day. Lots just know them for break on through or light my fire. But these wernt even nearly the greatest songs they did. Spanish caravan, peace frog, Indian summer, la woman. The doors did many more and covered some greats like gloria etc

They are my favourite band ever. They got me through some very very dark days and there isn't a song they did that couldn't match the mood you were in and make it better

Same as this gentleman, my favourite band so it's The Doors for me!

I actually got arrested by the gendarme stationed at Jim Morrison's grave in Paris when I was a young buck, for acting the ****, and banned from the Pere Le Chaise cemetary where he's buried (I've been back since though & they don't seem to remember me)! ;-)

I'm a little older these days, (not necessarily wiser), but certainly more chilled out, so I thought I'd post this little nugget which is a personal favourite of mine (their jazz version of Queen of the Highway from Morrison Hotel). Maybe not to everyone's tastes, but it demonstrates just how musically gifted the individual members of the band were, what with them being classically trained musicians.

Oh, and I agree with Bob, their version of Van Morrison's "Gloria" is also a gem!

This gentleman is a girl ;)

They could certainly mix it up. Densmore was a more than gifted drummer and they could all respond to Jims next move even if they didn't know what he was going to do next

A GIRL? Who likes The Doors? Whatever next? You'll be telling us you like football next! ;-)

Guess what ? I do like football

Hope all the doubters are giving the doors songs I mentioned a good listen before deciding.

Wow tough call.

The Doors made one of my favourite ever songs with "Riders On The Storm". That song is just pure brilliance. Better than anything The Kinks did.

But I think The Kinks were more consistent with good songs.

I dunno!

The Doors for "Riders On The Storm". Gettin to that level of top quality has to beat a longer time of just good quality.

Errrrrrrrrrrrrr the Doors - love the Kinks, but you don;'t get Morrison Hotel on a kinks album

Re: Battle of the Bands - The Kinks v The Doors page 108

They did a cover of "who do you love" too which is worth a listen

Not to touch the earth., the changeling, The soft parade. They are unrated massively.

Pretty cool for a girl aren't you? I've got my eye on you, well done :)

Loved the way he could do a 14 minute song and keep you captivated for it all, making it up as he went along, merging beautifully into the next track adding his poetry. The doors had many styles. If he had lived on imagine they would have much more recognition than they do. Yeah it's cool to wear a doors t shirt you got from aflecks or know the words to light my fire but to really truly love them and get what it was about is something else. I was 13 when I got into them. Buying cassettes and VHS's with any pocket money I could scrape together. My first tape was waiting for the sun and I never looked back

Yeah, I think they're definitely the sort of band that you appreciate more the more you get into them.

Jim Morrison was an amazing front man, he had the lot.
