Led Zeppelin for me.
So they were influenced by blues artists - show me a half-decent hard rock band that isn't.
The Beach Boys were influenced by close-harmony and doo-wop artists.
Everybody is influenced by somebody,so I choose the band that I like best.

The Beach Boys were good, but they never made a song as good as "Whole Lotta Love" (hardly anyone ever has!).

So Led Zeppelin wins for me.

Never really got the whole Beach Boys thing, so Led Zep just because my elder brother used to play Black Dog full blast at every opportunity and it sort of subliminally stuck with me.

The Small Faces covered this song too. The original is by Muddy Waters, written by Willie Dixon.

Led Zep made this song dirtier and added more lyrics and had a much better musical assembly for the track. Led Zep's "WLL" is among my favourite ever songs.
