Bayern Munich (A) | Post Match Thread

Hence why broadcasters keep saying the opposition could still come back into the game, so as to keep viewers glued to their screens.

I had Forest vs ManUre on in the background last weekend. As soon as the Rags went 0-2 up, I switched the telly over.

Subconsciously, I probably only left it on in the first place in the faint hope the Rags would lose.

Definitely some truth in that. I switched the United v Seville game off and missed their comedy shitshow at the end. Gutted.

All evening it was about what Bayern had to do
It may have been factual but it was all about Bayern
Due to RM's history in this competition and how they knocked us out last season and Chelsea this, let's see if the the semi final pre match will be all about RM or about what City need to do
We all know it'll be a Madrid love fest
Is any of it untrue?

Mate honestly, just ignore it & enjoy the match. They're trying to introduce potential jeopardy to keep their viewers glued.

I bet as many fans will have tuned in, in the hope we won as those who tuned in hoping to see us get beat. You've also got the neutrals who tune in to hopefully watch a good game.

It's not only City fans who watch games involving City. The media are already calling for an end to the season & to hand over a treble of trophies to City.

Many see us as some kind of unbeatable Frankenstein machine, with a Striking Viking Cyborg as our main weapon. Most of us know this is bullshit, but that's just how many fans & pundits see us.

If you keep looking at us through blue tinted City eyes, get set for a lifetime of annoyance. Not everyone commentating or watching a City match is a City fan.

At least Wio was honest enough to say he can't see anyone stopping us doing the treble, but it'll kill him if we do it.

I watched in BEIN, absolutely disgraceful from start to finish, Richard Keys and the commentary team Guy Mowbray and Andy Townsend, from start to finish anti City, commenting on what Munich need to do to get back in the game, how poor we played, how Haaland was disrespectful when fouled by fuckupermecano. Only Andy Gray had a good word to say about us.

Great night my beloved City, it would be classed as a great European performance if we played in red.
Yep. Keys was an utter clueless fat pig-faced ****. Goading McAteer, Gullitt and Gray pre-match, saying Pep's a failure because he only got taken on to do one job (Chimps League) wtf. Give them all a bit of kudos though, they all seemed to disagree with the stump (even McAteer).

Ffs Keys is hard work.

My most memorable switch off was the Scousers winning 0-3 away to Palace with 13 minutes left.

30 minutes later, I heard the game finished 3-3 & couldn't fuckin believe it! Real last season, Villa on the final day & most famously Agueroooooooooo!

During all these matches, the commentators never wrote off the possibility of a late, high drama comeback. It's their job.

Absolute hypocrites as last night they were talking about how Munich would do us. Hargreaves actually said if Bayern score first then all bets are off. Funny how Inter went 1-0 up (3-0 on agg) we were told by BT that it was game over. Just hope that the likes of Zaba and Nedum are available for BT for both semi finals, don't want any rags, Owen, Hargreaves etc anywhere near the TV
It would be fair and equal for City to have an articulate representative for the BT coverage of the 2 Semi Finals against Real Madrid.
However, they will (once again) regurgitate Macca & Morose Mickey's times as Blancos, just as they did with Hargreaves and his Bayern memories, last night.
City will have unjolly Joleon trying to remember his Everton escapades...

I switched off the United vs Everton game at 4-2 hoping that we could at least take United to the final day, went and had a shower, and when I came back it was 4-4.
