Yep- barely put a foot wrong. I remember all the haters here when he signed saying what a ridiculous signing it was. I guess I need to consider the source.

I wouldn’t say he’s barely put a foot wrong. He was genuinely terrible away at Copenhagen, at home against Brentford (I think he lost all 14 aerial duels in that game) and away at Old Trafford (and a few other games). He had a poor Winter in general where he didn’t play well from Southampton at home until about February. But he’s been much better since Dias came back into the side and the back four has been more settled.

And he was the one player last week who got caught out of position and was run in-behind of a few times.

His passing is quite poor n’all, even when he plays well.

But other than that, he had a really good start to the season and is playing well again now.

My only concern tonight is that we looked alot more dangerous when Alvarez came on. Pep can always change it up if needed.

Exactly this.

This game is set up perfectly for him, especially if we score first or if they still need 2 or 3 goals with say 20 minutes left and they have no choice but to throw more men forward. We would get plenty of chances to counter in that scenario and Haaland would absolutely kill them.
