Grealish’s defensive work in that middle half hour when they put pressure on was excellent, closing down their winger and even getting blocks in. Obviously Bernie did the same on the other side.

If anything the control returned when De Bruyne went off and we had more pressing energy from Alvarez

Akanji got skinned a couple of times but generally their pace was nullified with great positioning the back 3

One thing strikes me is that what have much more heft in the team now. Stones in the midfield, 3 big lads at the back, Rodri, even De Bruyne and Grealish are relatively big guys and can throw their weight around and then the big man up top.
