Bayern Munich (H) - CL QF | Post Match Thread

I thought Bayern tonight were the best team we've played since the amazing Arsenal team of Henry, Bergkamp, etc.
That was a really, really tough game against brilliant opposition but we were just that bit better in both boxes.
I was impressed by their lack of gamesmanship too which is so rare in European games. For the last 20 years or so it felt like if you wanted to succeed in Europe you had to cheat but fair play to the Bavarian Rags they actually tried to play the game as a sport.
Agree. They don't bring the circus like PSG or Real Madrid. They had a very solid game plan and it was an even game for the first 30mins. But we started to peg them back and the quality in our side started to come through. Brilliant game.

We got incredibly lucky with Rodri. Atletico reached a deal to sign him when he was just breaking through at Villarreal for €25m with a €60m buyout clause. Then he saw out the season with Villarreal getting better and better and before he even turned up at Atletico they were trying to give him a bigger contract with a much bigger release clause, but he just declined it.

He was worth 2x what we paid for him, and everyone knew it.
It was a ridiculous piece of business, it feels like it should be borderline illegal. The way he runs a game is just textbook.

Can I ask what was said
In a nutshell, Jackson slagged off our defensive abilities to deal with speed and suggested it's been widely reported that we're actually slow (in defence) all season. Dias told him we have great defenders and "we'll see on the pitch". He wouldn't let it drop, the tit.

Atleti also released him as a youngster.

We were so good we made Bayern look shit.
Is the correct answer, yet it's still fucking asked every single time we batter a team, which is fairly fucking frequently!

Maybe the way we play - just maybe - has a massive fucking impact on how shit the opposition are. Maybe the opposition start making simple mistakes because of the relentless pressure we put them under...

Bayern were good, thought they played some good stuff and could easily have gone 0-1 up if not for Dias’ block.

Sané was class for them, especially when he was popping up in attacking midfield.

City were even better though. We were magnificent tonight. Everyone played well!

Top night, top atmosphere, we gave their fans loads of shit tonight and they couldn’t take it, even so the German’s shit songs sounded quite good without their fucking drum so it was a very enjoyable experience all round!

Fuck off Tommy 2 shells.
Pep’s kryptonite my arse.
Whoever that dickhead journalist was trying to get a rise out of Father Rueben - what a sluggish defence we have. Not.
Ake? Different gravy. Akanji? Superb shift.
Just a shame that we didn’t have Kyle’s pace at the back we could have won 3 minus Nil.
What. A. Perfect. Performance.
9/10 all round individually. 10/10 collectively.
Love this Club always have & always will.
As you were Blues.
