For some reason i do not get nervous about Champs league games , the amount of times we have been robbed in this glamour cup will always be at the back of my mind , so getting bent over by UEFA and their officials has probably diminished the importance to me.
The big Premier league games and deciding games are the games that really concern me , the Champs league adds glamour and prestige to a club but the majority of us can see through the bullshit and the ensuing European Super Cup & World Club Championship shite , its all about opinions , but give me another league title , the true validation of a great football team.

Benching Ramadan Mahrez on a Champions League night is a big call. Bernardo doesn’t have the same threat.

But Bernardo's work rate is phenomenal and we'll need that against Sane and Pavard

I think you’re being more than harsh mate.

IMO there’s no doubting about what Mahrez has in his locker, he’s been motm, and in consideration for motm, many tImes this season. That wouldn’t happen if he’d been ducking his defensive duties would it?
He’s having an inspired season, fantastic in attack and defending like a Trojan.

Not sure the three at the back suits him, it was noticeable against Southampton and in the first half against Liverpool that he struggled when receiving the ball facing his own goal and having no right back to pass to. Lost the ball a few times in dangerous positions.. Grealish and Ake on the other side cope fine. Can understand Bernardo coming in tonight, far less likely to give the ball away

Mahrez will be missed. Maybe, Pep thinks Bayern's defense is similar to Leipzig's, which I doubt.

Would have started Mahrez personally but overall I'm happy with that. Hoping for a similar start to the Madrid game but hopefully without reply.
