Mahrez didn't look great against Southhampton. Maybe Pep is concerned with the type of form he is in.

Mahrez in a knock out games is usually great don't know why he is benched also starting Mr Akanji ....

Could be because the 'knock out' game is over two legs, so no doubt we'll need what he brings at some point over 180+ minutes of football

I think you’re being more than harsh mate.

IMO there’s no doubting about what Mahrez has in his locker, he’s been motm, and in consideration for motm, many tImes this season. That wouldn’t happen if he’d been ducking his defensive duties would it?
He’s having an inspired season, fantastic in attack and defending like a Trojan.

He wasn’t great against Soton. Perhaps his energy levels have dipped a bit and Pep doesn’t want to take a chance when we need to be able to defend well on the wing?

That Bayern line up doesn't exactly strike fear into me.

No Mane is a big plus as he always does well against us.

Mahrez will be missed. Maybe, Pep thinks Bayern's defense is similar to Leipzig's, which I doubt.

Nah this is our biggest game of the season now. CL is one we need to put up on the shelf and bury a few demons imo.
