Adidas sponsored refs and club says it all. He was German as well.

Blew the wistle for a sub at the end when he saw Clichy was going to throw it to Dzeko who would have been through on goal for a last chance.

For all the possession they had we kept our shape and composure and as a unit limited them to very little really which is what you need to do in the CL.

Unlucky for Negredo couldn't get more but getting in the right positions.
Thought Kompany was class and Boyata looked fine as well considering. Nasri also put in a good performance.
