Said 1-2 before I'd seen the teams.

Still confident.

We could certainly have put out a stronger 11 (Fernando, aguero) but so could've they. They have quite a few key heads missing.

Navas will create chances given the 2 line ups.

We just need dzeko to be bang on his game and take his chances cos he'll definitely get 1 or 2.

Big game for Benatia to be making his full debut, hope that Ed can give him the run around. Be interesting to see him in action, let's hope he has a shocker! :-)

Is Pep playing Lahm and Alaba in forward positions frequently now or is this more a result of the injuries? On its face it seems awfully defensive although both of those players can certainly play in more advanced positions.

Alaba is a midfielder for the Austrian team - and Lahm plays in midfield often since last season. Nothing really special. Yes, when Thiago and Schweinsteiger are back they probably go back to fullback positions.

Bayern Munich: Neuer, Rafinha, Boateng, Benatia, Bernat, Lahm, Xabi Alonso, Muller, Gotze, Alaba, Lewandowski.
Subs: Reina, Dante, Rode, Hojbjerg, Shaqiri, Robben, Pizarro.

Man City: Hart, Sagna, Kompany(c), Demichelis, Clichy, Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Navas, Silva, Nasri, Dzeko.
Subs: Caballero, Boyata, Mangala, Kolarov, Milner, Lampard, Aguero.

Referee: Alberto Undiano Mallenco (Esp).

Looks like settling for a draw is out then! :D Shame we couldn't have had Fernando fit, would have been very interested to see him in a game like this.
