Pretty disappointed to see Milner left out. He was immense last time in Munich and has a lot more bottle than Nasri, which is key in the big games. Easy to see why he wants to leave.

That said that side is definitely good enough to get a win.
That is the big call in this line-up. Milner has been great in all of our big away games over the last three or four years, and Mancini and Pellegrini have both picked him in these big away games in the past.

United away two consecutive years, Arsenal away the year we won there, Bayern and Barça away last season, even as a second half sub at Anfield last year, Arsenal away the other day...all elite level performances against elite teams.

Big call not to pick him! What I'm thinking is Pellegrini has seen Nasri's demeanour in the last few days and, after his weak showing against Arsenal, maybe he can see Nasri is well up for tonight to make up for it.

I said earlier it's a big night for Edin, but it's a big night for Nasri too!

Milner's role is exactly to start here. I love him as a counterattacking player against a good side. I can only guess that Pellers does not want to bench Nasri twice in a row and do in his confidence.

Carragher talking about Bayern's wingers: Robbery and Ribben!

Some idiot on Fox where I'm watching it has just said Chelsea (it was a Chelsea piece they were discussing before our game) have great depth with Lampard in the squad. I've got it running behind bluemoon at the moment but 25% chance of Warren Barton.

Thats a pretty shit excuse to leave out Milner. With Xavi, Lahm, and Alaba in midfield I hope we don't get overrun.

Bit disappointed with the team. Hope I'm proven wrong.

Given the choice I would not have picked that team but, to be fair, when it comes to football, he has forgotten more than you and I will ever know about the game. I would be very happy if he proved me wrong tonight.

How does Nasri always get picked for these games?

Because he doesn't give the ball away and lose possession, Milner is always capable of a bad pass, despite his other qualaties.
