Bayern v City post match thread

Not sure we would have scored another one even with Aguero on. Honestly I think even they seemed confused because I remember the last corner kick they din't waste a single second and I thought to myself whoever took that probably think we are topping.

That said even the players had no idea about it, Hart took his own time. No idea what Pellegrini's staff or bench was doing, surely someone could have pointed that out.

All being said, it wasn't like we were having chances left, right and center and we played a great game with our second team.

Fantastic typical City game. Had it all completely shire 3 out of 4 at the back. Our best defender at the time goes off injured and Zaba leads a comeback from RB.

Then the best of all Pelly thought we needed 2 more goals to win the group so didn't bang Kun on.

Got to say as it was a dead match and it looked like we were in for a 6/7-0 hammering I was tempted to watch gala v Juve after 10 mins. Glad I stayed with us.

I think this is a famous night for City in Europe . A very proud blue in Bradford tonight . Bluemoon .

I honestly thought we had to win by 3 goals as well? Ive read a million times over on this forum that we weren't going to win 3-0 or needing 3-0 etc.

Waited after the match through 5 minutes of adverts and some bird giving us a complete run down of the nights results in anticipation of hearing the panel heap praise on City for such a wonderful result.

What did we get Hoddle and Carragher downplaying our success by suggesting Bayern didn't try and then after the Pellegrini interview they were joined by the other two clowns in making out our manager was a buffoon.

I for one am disgusted with the media they never have a positive word to say for us and along with a lot of my fellow posters I don't bloody care who we get in the knock out stages.

Let the other teams worry about us, if we are good enough we will progress.
Are you disgusted or are you, like me, just simply not arsed what any of them ever say about us?

I'd actually rather them give us shit. Who wants to be arse licked, really? Who wants to have some slimy arseholes blowing smoke up our arse when they don't mean it? I'd rather them be true to their feelings and, if they don't like us, act as if they don't.

I don't want to be liked. We're all good without the media trying to get their noses brown off us. We've got the seventh best turnover on the planet and an ever growing fanbase worldwide. We don't need those snivvely twats in the British media to be our friends.

I say; fair play and keep it up to all of them.

"WOOAH AA'AAH GONNA GET ALONG WITHOUT YOU NOW"!

In a strange way I would rather win that game 3-2 and finish second than go for a fourth and it end up 3-3 and finish second. Okay we may have scored a 4th but if my auntie was my uncle I would have a different cousin I never saw

Shirley, your auntie being your uncle is a question about the meat and two veg, and not much else or am I getting my priorities wrong?

No I don't think you are but if my auntie was my uncle then lots of things change

Tiebreakers

The teams are ranked according to points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss). If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings:[1]
1.higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
2.superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;
3.higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;
4.higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;
5.If, after applying criteria 1) to 4) to several teams, two teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1) to 4) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the two teams in question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 6) to 8) apply;
6.superior goal difference from all group matches played;
7.higher number of goals scored from all group matches played;
8.higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question, as well as its association, over the previous five seasons.

I know we're all getting our knickers in a twist about the possibility of 4-2 and topping the group.

But doesn't the above mean that it goes on goal difference after equal points??? So in that case 4-2 would not have been enlighten and MP was right?

what was that bayern twat saying about Aguero and Dzeko??

sometimes its best to fuckn shut up..
