To all those media experts who bang on continually about City's poor away form this season; that's 3 wins out of 3 away games in the Champions League!!!

You have to play the best teams anyway if you want to progress in the CL so who cares if it comes in the next round or the one after. We just showed we can beat the best with our bloody reserve team. Enjoy the win ffs.
AND we have a rested team for Arsenal while Arsenal need to play their first choice team tomorrow to get through their group.
I do get pessimistic. My brother who I go to games with thinks it's hilarious. Doesn't matter who we are playing, by the time it comes to the game without fail I have always worked out a reason why we might not win.Len Rum said:Bloody hell Marvin the ultimate pessimist but you were so right there. That win will have given us so much belief and confidence. Forget Sky , forget Pigeoneho, City are back.Marvin said:Their goals were offside but they were very marginal - it's hard to get angry tonight. Might have even worked in our favour because Bayern switched off thinking it was job done.cleavers said:We did win tonight, I'll take that given the circumstances at 7:58 tonight.
Any blue that isn't buzzing over what we did tonight, needs to re-assess why they are blues, not many games rank up there, the win at Spurs from 3-0 down was magnificent, but this was the european champions on their own patch in the top competition in world football.
Only the QPR comeback tops this in my supporting of City comebacks.
ITV, Sky etc may not give this result the recognition it deserves, but the most important people it affects are the players and supporters of Manchester City. Belief matter so much. You need to be able to step out on that pitch and know you can win. Last season, and maybe even this, we conceded a lot of very soft goals and I think that was in part down to doubt. "Are we good enough? Do we belong?" No one will ask questions like that again.
Pellegrini has to bring the players back down to Earth straight away though.

I've asked questions re- Pelle gate but I'm certainly not angry.
Now it's all settled down you have to sit back and give the team some real credit - to be 2 down after 12 minutes after making 7 changes against a formidable team and not capitulate and take a beating , but to come back and win was immense.
Silva getting 70 mins and looking sharp was the big bonus for me.
Lots of good performances throughout, with special mention for Milner who worked his socks off and provided substance as well.
Worst poin,t although it helped us was Micah injured again.
Just seen Rags highlights and if that's them back then great , they could easily have lost again.
Just seen gerard out for 6 weeks so won't play against us, just need arse to have a really tough time tomorrow and it will top a good midweek

Bayern hate playing directness of british sides and city were magnificent to come back from 2-0. well done
Thanks for a sensible post Gooner. Are you beginning to shit bricks for Saturday ?? ;)
Nope as think we good enough to shut you down. We top of league by five points and we both beaten bayern.
Going to be very tough away game though and think it be epic battle between two of best attacks in europe
Napoli winning, and Celtic beating Barcelona would make it even better - means we might get an easier drawonceabluealways said:RandomJ said:aguero93:20 said:this ffs, we have the moral and footballing high ground, and right now psg, barca, real and atleti are all wishing they finished second!

Good result on paper but beating the best when they are not at their best and not giving their best isn't that meaningful.sergiokun said:So happy to win at Bayern. We just proved we can beat the best

Great to see some maligned players putting in a shift and getting some credit.
Personally I don't think Bayern are the best, if Chelsea, Athletico or Real Madrid don't win it this year I'd be dissapointed if it wasn't us. Bayern are a quickly passing fad based on the swan song of two particularly ugly wingers nearing the December of their careers.
