I know we're all getting our knickers in a twist about the possibility of 4-2 and topping the group.

But doesn't the above mean that it goes on goal difference after equal points??? So in that case 4-2 would not have been enlighten and MP was right?

We would have been tied with the amount of goals scored had it been 4-2 ,5-2 would have us on top, MP was right.

We'd have scored 4 away goals to Bayerns 3 that would have put us top.
haha yea i had another look at the table and edited my response my fault.

Correct.

Have that you smug German cunts.
Muller can go off and fuck himself the obnoxious twat.

:)

We've just beat the best team in the world with our reserve team and people are debating whether Pellers understood the rules, and if he had whether bringing on Aguero would have made a difference anyway, YCNMIU.

Please someone confirm that we needed to win 5-2 to top the group and 4-2 wasn't enough and make sky eat shit.
What a win and those shits focus on that story.

Please someone, once and for all.... who is right. Not the rule guide just was 4-2 enough?

Wow, really?
2-0 down in Munich with their A team playing our B team.
It could possibly be a significant turning point for this squad as a whole.
So proud of the lads tonight, magnificent spirit in this squad.

Classic rag media (win over Shakhtar > win over Bayern apparently), but nothing can demean our win tonight!

It's worth talking about though, regardless. We all adore tonight's win but if he meant what he said, it's natural for people to pick up on it. You would if it was them over in Stratford.

A spine tinglingly beautiful night.

Our reserves just came from 2-0 down to eat the best team in the world. And amid all those world stars our very own david silva stood out as the best player on the field.

Magnificent performance. Gutsy, solid, the best defensive display of the season. After the first 15 minutes, they never looked like scoring.

A famous victory. I kept saying after the home game: this gulf in class everyone talked isnt there. We have no one to fear now in this competition and I can't wait for the next round. Hopefully rounds plural ;-)

Well done everyone.

No one should worry about us finishing top and drawing a hard team. The good teams will be there toward the end and we are a good team

As will United according to Moyes..

'I think we could be classed as one of the favourites'

A typically understated reaction to the so called mistake by ITV compared the sensationalist bullshit overreaction from Sky.

Strachan just correctly laughed it off.
