Hi Bavarian, you the one and same from Bayernzone? If so guys he stuck up for me, however Bavarian I won't be as polite on this forum :-)
Welcome to our Blue World.

Bayernzone is about as relevant to genuine Bayern supporters as the weather report in Moscow is to somebody who lives in Buenos Aires.

I was warned by pm twice in two days for daring to have an opinion critical of bandwagon jumpers, they went ballistic when I dared to criticise the German national team (even though 99% of them aren't German and have no realistic connection with Germany).
That's when I realised I was wasting my time on there, it took less than a week.
There are a couple of decent guys on there but the majority are wannabes, glory hunters and outright morons. Including the mods.

Not sure how many real Bavarian`s are posting on this thread. Their written English is far too good.

Being born in Kassel I live in Munich for 35 years now. So I am no real Bavarian as well.
If you consider your trip to Munich as a scouting mission for may, we`ll meet three times in the next 9 months. I would really like that, because I am kind of bored watching Barca winning it all. I do like their style but its getting time that someone kicks catalonian asses :D

Hi Breadsnapper (funny nick - i will watch my pretzels while you guys are in town)
No I am not the person you are refering to. To tell you the truth I have never been to that board "Bayernzone" you are talking about.

Bayernzone is full of imbeciles.

The first forum you went to though (Bayernforum) even though an international fan forum for Bayern is full of lots of intelligent posters, we get our fair share of immature people now and then who can't string a paragraph together but on the whole their are some genuinely intelligent and passionate fans there. (Including me of course).

I wanted to ask City fan's opinion on Dzeko. Is he closer to cementing a starting spot in your lineup? I am actually a fan of Dzeko since I saw him first shine against Wolfsburg and a lot of Bayern fan's actually preferred the more technically gifted Dzeko to Gomez initially, Gomez has grown on us with his hard work and drive and I was wondering after the quiet start that Dzeko had initially has he started to become a fan favraite in City?

Another reason I am asking this is because even though there are a lot of amazing talents in your squad no one worries me more than Dzeko, on his day he is the most complete striker I have seen (on the same level as Eto) and if used in a dual-striker formation, his combinations / vision and eye for goal is downright terrifying. I know Mancini prefers a 4-3-3 so I am not sure if Dzeko has evolved his game to work in a 3 man front line or he is not going to be a guaranteed starter come CL Group stages?

Hi mate, cheers for that I guess i'm fooked now as my last point althouh polite pulled no punches. One of the most vociferous was Robbenator from, Montreal. Got accused of being a glory hunter even though I have supported City since 1969, beggers belief! Bavarian seemed ok though

-- Sat Aug 27, 2011 11:02 am --

Hi and welcome, Breadsnapper is a slang name for a child, as I am child like it suits me, so your pretzels are safe.

To be honest the ones who seemed less than knowledgeable and got involved with slagging us off were Bayern fans off an international forum.

Hi man.

I think it's a bit harsh (at least) to characterize like that a group of people because a user didn't show the proper respect (he has been warned).

And tbf, you started quoting comments and making fun of it - something that shows a bit lack of respect.

Anyway, no hard feelings, I guess we can leave that behind and show the proper respect and enjoy probably great football in the upcoming months.

I am a moderator of http://www.bayernforum.com, an international based forum, mostly for people who live outside Germany or like to speak about Bayern Munich in English and not in German. I personally was born in Germany 37 years ago, but I live in Greece for many years now and I still support Bayern (tbh I don't have much spare time to travel and go to many matches anymore).

Anyway good luck to your team and as I said, let's hope to see some great games.

Dzeko has a history of scoring and performing well against Bayern. I reckon he will do this again. If anyone should be counted on to bring Bayern down, its Edin. After all, he knows the Bundesliga inside out.

Hi and welcome to the forum. It was a bit of a generaliztion on my part but i wasnt talking about foreign fans in general. We ourselves have fans from various parts of the world, some like yourself have lived in the country and moved away, so obviously they will still support their team.

Others have different reasons for following us whether that be extended family or friends getting them into us, or just finding a passion. Maybe because a certain player they love joins us. These type of fans i wasnt refering to. The kind of fan i was refering to was the fan who supports the team because of success. They expect the team to win all the time. They know little about the club and its history. No doubt your forum like many forums will have both types of fan i mentioned. So as i said earlier it was a generalization on my part.

As for the game, i'm sure we will get two excellent games and am looking forward to testing ourselves against an established Champions League team such as yourselves. I personally think we can finish top of the group, but as a City fan i would say that. ;)
