BBC Fans poll of "Team Of The Season" so far - No City players!

There is absolutely no credibility to any "fan" poll the likes of Goal of the Month on match of the Day , if KDb scored a 35 yard screamer it would be beaten by a Rashford goal with a deflection off Fakeronaldo's backside.
Very few supporters see past their own football club when judging football excellence , the Dippers being the main culprits Van Dick and Robertson before Dias and Cancelo has to be height of stupidity

Just to clarify, it's not fans voting for their team of the year, it's fans voting each player a score out of ten after each game so far this season, and then those being averaged out. But obviously it's stupid, because fans will only vote for their own players, and will base it on how well they perform compared to expectations, rather than how good they are as a player. So essentially, it's a team of the biggest over-performers relative to expectations this season. Or a list of players most likely to be overrated by their own fans. We have higher standards, so our players have got to do more to be given a high score.

But in that sense, it's actually a far more honest assessment of fans' opinions than just running a poll. It's interesting, for example, that the "best right back in the world" didn't make it into the team when it's based on the scores Liverpool fans actually gave game-by-game, and that's probably down to the sheer number of goals he's cost them this season.

The whole system is a sham. How many times was Sterling voted down to 3-4 out of ten, probably dippers, just to keep on registering their sad bitterness. Foden also fell foul if memory serves.
How many Arse numbskulls gave any city player a five or more.
Just pointless.
