Always knew this year would be hugely difficult. The WC messing things up and all the top teams improving apart from Liverpool. It's a more competitive league this year. For a few years it's been just us and Liverpool. Now you have Arsenal, Us, Newcastle, Spurs, Utd... all much closer to each other than other years. Then there's Chelsea, Brighton and Liverpool - all top teams with top players 2 of which are hugely under performing. If they pick up a bit of form that's 8 VERY competitive teams. Winning 3 titles in a row requires the team to be exceptionally consistent. That's so hard to keep up. Even if Arsenal aren't as frightening as Liverpool last season and the season before, they're playing well and with loads of confidence, which counts for so much in winning games. Unfortunately the momentum isn't with us at the moment and it's on us to bring that back. We have the talent and ability, it's all about mentality. Hopefully Walker will bring some stability back to the defence and Phillips should bring more depth.
Personally I think it would an abject failure to not win the league with Haaland in the team but it's 5 points and there's a lot of football to play. We know what we have to do.
