Behind Birmingham

The manager HAS to go.

Not only behind a team who've played two more games than us and had a ridiculously easy run, but Hughes had his hands in his pockets at Bolton, and he's TACTICALLY NAIVE, and he kicked my dog, and he played for United once, and he starts too many sentences with 'obviously'.
he pinched sweets off my kids aswell

People need to stop being reactionary idiots. Judge Hughes on the season. Those who were staunchly against him were all apologetic after the wins against Arsenal and Chelsea, now we've dropped a couple of places mainly out of our control everyone's panicking again. Grow up. Marathon, not a sprint.

We did,, last season. Do you reckon those 2 wins should give him a pardon from all the shit performances. ?

dunno, most people are pissed off at continuing trends, not individual results. he'll be judged over the next 5 games, like it or not.

Sorry I judged him on last season but was persuaded to give him another 6 months to December 2009. Well he has had it and I still see the same basic problems.

I havent changed my opinion thanks. I dont hate or despise Hughes as a manager, and the whole argument of stability is something I can understand as a City fan. Hes proved his worth in the market throughout his managerial career as well as his performances with Blackburn and Wales. Is he a world class manager in my opinion though, no. By the same token, for how much we all loved Dunney (and im glad to see hes doing well on a personal note) he also isnt a world class defender, and if you're aspiring to be the best team in the league, then you need the best players, hence why most people accepted that it was time for him (and us) to move on.

Picture Robinho, Tevez and Adebayor walking into training, do you really think these players are going to be inspired by a manager like Hughes, who has the charisma and personality of a tree. He was a great player yes, and that counts for something, but these players have been man-managed by some of the best managers in the world, of which Hughes isnt.

You may well say that you have to start somewhere as a manager and Fergiescum is the prime example, but ADUG havent been playing about with the likes of Dunnie, this "project" has been in overdrive from day 1, and to be the best, you need the best.

Im not a Hughes hater, im a realist. Football is brutal these days, and we need a Mourinho.

Such a persuasive argument, I wonder why everybody just doesn't get onboard!

I don't think this type of humour washes well on here. But good attempt!

WHAT?!?

We scored three goals away from home. The officials, as well as a bit of dodgy defending cost us the win. To say we didn't turn up is ridiculous.

Would that be the same dodgy defending thats cost us a bagful of points so far? How do you suggest we change it so we dont carry on like that for the rest of the season?

We played pretty shit tbf

Minimum of 8 points from the next 4 games required to even stay around the top 6 now. I wish people would take a look at our fixtures second half of the season much harder than the first. People find it annoying people are negative and unhappy the way things are going. I am disappointed that people actually think 8 draws from 9 games is good enough, Draws against Hull, Fulham, Burnley, Wigan are good enough.

ok well maybe saying we didn't turn up is a bit OTT, but can you really say you enjoyed what you saw in that game?

Apart from the last 25 minutes it was fuckin shit, the game changed when robinho come on, and robinho should of been starting, just another huge massive fuck up by hughes again, the man is clueless, play your best team, if bellers want suspended tomorrow night would hughes of played robbie? probably not.

play your best 11, the last 25 minutes we attacked them, the first half was nearly as bad as liverpool, we scored 2 goals, apart from them 2 split chances, we did fuck all, tevez and adebayor were picking the ball up on the half way line, thats how shit it was.

Scum, Liverpool, Villa, Spuds at home. Chelsea, Arsenal away. Thats for starters. Thats 6 games out of 18 I would rate as very hard - certainly not 3 point bankers.

Birmingham have won more games than us, everyone bangs on about the games in hand, blah blah fucking blah its just getting boring

whats more important, the 1 game we've lost all season or the amount of wins we've had?

exactly.

Not as annoying as constant slagging of our manager and team.

B'Ham ahead of us - woa is me.

Those 2 games in hand could equal 6 points which would put us firmly ahead of them.

Not to mention semi of the cup.

Happy days here.

I was wondering the same. OK we play Chelsea and Arsenal away, but Ushited are at home. We could play Liverpool at Hough End and beat them. Villa's at home so are Spuds.
