Tired probably. Would have suited him more having Cancelo overlapping and giving him some options.

Not had the best tournament but not sure the way Portugal play suits him really. Having said that, I thought he played very well against France.

Superb player though.

No doubting his talent, he is perhaps in the unfortunate position of having club and country that aren’t really setup to get the best out of him. I just hope it clicks for him again, how he was a couple of seasons ago.

I think there’ll be a surprise country win it this time round instead of one of the usual sides. Denmark, Czech or England are all in with a shout, I’ve not been impressed with any team.

If Messi didn’t ‘move’ the way he does, he’d have had a lot more injuries over the years. nonetheless, Kev has been getting hacked for so long now. Once upon a time, he hardly ever got injured.

He has a lot more miles on the clock and playing at that level puts tremendous strain on the body/muscles etc.
That shouldn't allow average players to use the old Jack Charlton method of stopping him.
