Bell vs Silva

Why bother posting then. Sorry if I have affended you. Mr fucking Malg sir. Just interested in what the old boys think as I wasn't old enough and never saw Mr Bell. The other reason is I haven't seen a better player than Silva(with my own eyes)

Agree totally different types of players the god that is Colin would make yaya type runs etc and could have probably played three games in an afternoon his stamina was second to none also had the football brain of today players also both are legends but as previous posters have said peter Doherty was up there with them both my old fella idolised him along with tom finney

Bell on the pitches they play on today....frightening prospect. The midfielder who could do everything. We're lucky that both of them have graced our great club. Would love to see Colin hand Silva the PFA POTY award at the end of this season (I know he shies away from publicity...both of them do, in fact) but it might bring a tear to my eye if it happened.

Ive been absolutely privelaged to watch both these wonderful players. Immensely difficult to choose the better, both absolutely brilliant in their own ways. Still cant get the moment out of my head when that collision effectively brought Bells career to and end. We finally found his replacement in Silva - thats how long it took us.

Was lucky enough to see Colin Bell through out his time at City, he was Yaya mark one, and I think considering the pitches and the absolute nutters of defenders and what they got away with at that time I would have to give it to him, however that takes nothing away from Magico, because his vision in a tight situation is superb. But personally I would throw Ali into the mix as well, I know he was an 87 year old when he came to us and he wasn't her to long but he was the nearest player to watching Silva and that includes Kinky

Kinky wasn't really up to our standard now in all round game. But what really pisses me off is that the goal against Southampton was easily one of the best ever, but because it was us it's never shown. Imagine the fuss if it was Giggs.
