Bellerin

Wasnt Sagna's lack of pace the reason Theo was able to fire his shot past Hart? Something tells me Wenger isnt missing Sagna.

As for Bellerins positioning. Well I think thats the reason for his tremendous ability getting forward, he gets into unorthodox positions, and has the pace to recover if Arsenal ever lose the ball. Defenders who need to stay in position because they cant recover - they are the ones showing limitation.

I cant think of a more explosive and dynamic right back doing the rounds.

Any chance you can create threads on a couple of other players you admire, who have no link to us,will never play for us but probably would improve us? I'll pick two from thin air........say Sanchez and Ramsey......any thoughts?

Must be horrible to think their best player only signed for them because his first choice were restricted by FFP! Almost like shagging that really fit bird but knowing she's only with you because her model of an ex doesn't want to know her.

Arsenal won't let him go and we don't need him. Our RB has been the best position this season by far. (except GK).

Coleman
Sagna
Zaba
Ivanovic
Janmaat
Rangel
Darmian

He'll beat all of those bar Zaba and Ivanovic I'd say when he's finished his career and you can measure peak against peak but right now he's a raw kid making multiple mistakes every game.
I'm a city fan, but I'd take him over all of them. Were Zaba and Ivanovic anywhere near his level at 20?

Also I've watched our best defensive defenders make multiple mistakes per game - Zaba playing too narrow or being caught high up, Kompany diving in or picking up silly yellows.

There's something incredibly pathetic about pretending to be a fan of another club.

Bellerin is a winger that has been playing right back for about 2 years tops. He said himself he couldn't even put in a tackle 2 years ago and Steve Bould has been working with him closely to teach him how to defend. Whilst he's still suspect at the back against the better teams and he's using his pace to get him out of trouble a lot (much like Micah Richards did for us) he's come on immensely and the potential to go on and be one of the very best is there for all to see. If there was the slightest chance of getting him i'd give Arsenal whatever they asked. however, there's next to no chance of that happening. After a few years of being our feeder club and all the talk of them now being able to spend and compete for titles there's zero chance of them selling anyone to their rivals anytime soon.

No, we'll wait and see if gets a bit better & is consistent, then get him cheap when he decides it's time to ditch.
