If we are losing Delph seems logical to replace like for like ie English for English. The fact he is a round peg in a round hole for left back given Mendys injury list, be perfect with Zin on rotation. Be interesting to watch him next week.

It looks logical and very interesting but Delph in not our LB he is our utility player, Zincky is better and so is Mendy when fit? so spending £ 50 million + on a player that can only play LB and will not improve the squad where we have 2 already and neither is going to leave, does not make sense

I think it would be logical to keep both Zin and Mendy if we sign Chilwell and let Delph go.

Zin is a utility player that can play LB and cover all midfield positions if needed, like Delph. And Mendy will get another chance as nobody's going to pay a huge fee for an injury-prone madman.

If Chilwell comes in then I can't see Mendy being here next season. Wouldn't surprise me going off a couple of rumbles being heard around the club. Think I'd be tempted to give it another year with Mendy with Zinchenko as back up and focus on the other positions we need. If Otamendi goes we'll definitely need a new CB.
